This thread is a great thread. Only right since it's about a great player. Will always have respect for D-Murr the record-saver.

Re: OT: Darrick Murray: The Man, The Legend.
As you all know, Darrick Murray single-handedly saved our three-point record.
As I recall, it was a moment of epic proportions. The shot clock was down to less than half a second left, and the ball was inbounded from our end of the court. With Murray on the floor, it was natural the expect the ball to go to him. With a release the stuff of legends are made of, he caught the bounce pass that missed three meters wide of the mark (must have been Joey inbounding it,) turned around quicker than Little Ozzy can lock a thread, and hoisted a shot from end court that Reggie Miller would be jealous of, the game clock buzzing as soon as the ball rolled off his fingers.
As the ball sailed through the air, the entire arena collectively held its breath. I am absolutely certain at the moment, no one, not the 20,000 fans at the ACC nor the millions of people watching around the word, thought that shot had any prayer of going in. I clearly remember a moment of silence, then euphoria. The ball goes through the basket, nothing but net, the place explodes when it became the shot heard round the world.
We all know the ACC can only accommodate roughly 20,000. But millions in Toronto will tell you they saw it live.
