bargs + jose
for
arenas + mcgee

salaries should match, we can throw in miamis first if anything or they can throw in some cash/picks if anything.

leaves us with:
arenas - jack
DD - weems
kleiza - jwright
amir - ed
mcgee - dorsey/ anderson

at least the team would be fun to watch.

A good deal for the Raptors not sure if Utah does it?
AK47 would look good in Indiana excepty Granger plays the same position and they must pray that Hibbert will step up and already weak at PF so think they would decline.
Obvious yes from Toronto

Makes zero sense for Utah.

They'll save about $2 Million(I believe). Instead of one big expiring, they get a similar amount($) in 3 players. I just think it's better to have multiple expiring contracts, rather than 1 big one so you have flexibility to consider more trade offers later at the deadline.

Yuck. I want nothing to do with Arenas. He has one of the worst contracts in the league.

I'm fairly certain that if you are willing to take on Arenas you could have McGee and not pay anything

Jose and TPE would get it done

why would washington take that deal though ? remember that you have to think for washingtons side not only ours. the wizards will never take that trade, their back court has like 35m in cap...
I think my trade makes sense because it gives them back a guard and a c that they also give up.

Why would TO do it at all. McGee would be nice but not at the expense of taking on Gilbert

Don't know if this idea has already been posted (if it has sorry for the repeat).

If Denver is in the dump salary mode (due to trade of Melo - if it happens), Raps should try to acquire Nene.

Could offer TPE ($10M) + Alabi + maybe second round draft pick for Nene - deal would save Nuggets $20M this year for a player who can be a FA this summer. For Raptors, there is their big body for the paint.

Trade ID #5709304

Really simple trade that makes sense:

Toronto trades: Jose Calderon. Receives Mike Dunleavy
Charlotte trades: Boris Diaw. Receives Jose Calderon
Indiana trades: Mike Dunleavy. Receives Boris Diaw

Why? Toronto wants to get rid of Jose and get a SF who can score plus save money. Charlotte needs a PG badly. Indiana wants a PF. Done deal.

Raps Trade:
Andrea Bargnani
Jose Calderon
Reggie Evans
Marcus Banks

Wizards Trade:
Andre Blatche
Gilbert Arenas

Raps take on Gilbert's contract and craziness hoping a change of scenery and newly handed keys to a team will help make him sane again. lol. He still can score.
Blatche is the type of player down low that the Raps can use.

Wiz get rid of Gilbert's contract while taking on Calderon's, which is cheaper and 1 less year. They get 2 expirings and Bargnani fits perfectly beside Javale McGee.

Raps:

C- Blatche/Andersen/Alabi
PF- Davis/Johnson/Dorsey
SF- Kleiza/Weems/Dupree
SG- Derozan/Barbosa/Weems
PG- Arenas/Jack/Barbosa

IMO, Wright should be cut as he hasn't shown anything in his given time.
Raps might want to sign a guy like Chucky Atkins for PG insurance.

Wiz:

C- McGee/Armstrong/Seraphin
PF- Bargnani/Yi/Evans
SF- Howard/Thornton/Booker
SG- Hinrich/Young/Hudson
PG- Wall/Calderon/Banks

A draft pick either way may be needed to entice either team.

Thoughts???

Not sure I like this trade from the perspective of the Wizards. Blatche has a very nice contract and will likely match or exceed Bargnani's production. I'm sure they'd be happy to salary dump Gil, but not at the cost of swapping the cheaper Blatche for Bargs.

^^Phoenix has no reason to do that trade. Even if it's a forced deal, they'll get better value than that.
