Another dumb as movie by the Toronto raptors. Hoff a all over again. Stupid.
On Gerald Henderson vs Derozan:
"Yes. Hendo is quite a bit better than DeMar.
So yes, I do believe he's currently the better player and do project that will continue to be in the future. I would also take Turner over DD."

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 17s
Indications are Caboclo never would've made it to 37, so Raps wise to gamble if they like him that much. Other teams were quietly in hunt

I'm going to take a wait and see. It's idiotic to be really angry right now. Only a few teams saw him, theres a chance one of the other teams was planning on picking him, and if Masai thought he has the most potential, go for it. Glad that Masai clearly doesn't care what people think, that's no way to run a team.

90% of you people seemed to think we could draft an all star at 20. Well, who knows, maybe we did. Maybe we didn't. Time will tell.

Michael Bradley wrote:I can't really comment on the pick because I've never heard of or seen Bruno play.

The one bright side is that Masai clearly went for his perception of upside. Can't knock him for that. The pick may end up looking like a waste, but I'd rather Ujiri pick a guy he feels can be an impact player than someone whose floor and ceiling is a role player. The Raptors need to hit home runs, not singles. Again, I've never heard of this guy, so I can't comment on whether the pick is good or not, but if Masai thought he had the highest upside of anyone available, then it is what it is.

This is my thinking as well. If we were the Thunder or Heat then yes go for role players all you want, but we're a team that is full of role players and little star power. Our only way of acquiring that is taking chances on high upside unknown players.

However this is as risky as it gets. I'm hoping Masai sees something in this guy no one but he and San Antonio sees.

Just watch his DX video, not saying I'm in love with pick, but he has 1st rd caliber athleticism, length, fluidity and is draft's youngest

Should've drafted Capela if Masai wanted a rim protector. At least Capela was blocking shots in a pro league showing more potential. Bruno is such an unknown.

This is such a boom or bust pick, it's not even funny. Might actually be the definition of.

I think if the Raps didn't do it, the Thunder or the Spurs would have done it. No reason why they didn't trade down to let Miami get Napier unless the Thunder, right after them, were going to pick Bruno.

To redeem himself Masai needs to draft one of Glen Robinson, Thanasis Antetokoumpo, or Damien Inglis and Jordan Bachynski with the 59th pick.
