Instead of putting JJ in to keep the defensive intensity he opted for more offense with Lou, when it was our starters that gave us the lead for the majority of the game until the end when the rotations were all mixed up and had some starters mixed with some bench players.

I also think we only ran one post up play for JV that whole 4th quarter then giving up on him when he didn't deliver on it. Why can't we finish games off with our starters, Casey usually opts for more offensive firepower from our wings at the end of games.

Which makes no sense when he preaches defense. Like Lou, PPat, and Vasquez are the epitome of defensive pressure.

I'm still not sure what a clear path foul is. I mean if the one on Ross isn't, then how is the one on Batum is? In my estimation, Ross' is much clearer considering that Lowry was wide open whereas I think there was a Raptor on the other side of Vasquez who could have got back to, at least, challenge Batum's shot.

You all are now seeing the Lou I saw in Philly, by the way- a chucker who can go hot and cold, doesn't create shots for others and has trouble being clutch. That was his issue in Philly and that's his issue in Toronto. He tutored under Iverson so what can you do. Old habits die hard, I guess.

Tough loss overall. One thing I've got to say about the Blazers though- man, they can shoot the three ball.

Man this was an awesome game on how the Raps played defensively like a playoff basketball scenario. Had a huge momentum with the Blazers for the first 3 quarters. Liked how Val & JJ played then wow the refs with so many reviews...... Especially those clear path fouls.
Raps are legit with this loss when they had so many chances when Blazers were making there run. Hope for another good game Friday against Warriors.

LMA DIPS HIS SHOULDER TO GET IN THE LANE EVERY PLAY IN THE 4TH
AMIR ISN'T ALLOWED TO SET SCREENS
FREEDMAN/OTHER BIG SCRUBS HACKING/PUSHING JV
HILARIOUS CLEAR PATH CALLS -SAME PLAY = DIFFERENT CALLS (lowry was literally under their basket for a free layup)
CASEY PULLING JJ FOR THE WHOLE 4TH AND LETTING LOU CHUCK

ha.

Disgusting display by these refs.

the ones on hans were legit. no idea why casey thinks he can ever match up with aldridge

We did this to us ourself.

Refs assisted, but not way too much. nothing criminal.

Casey helped too. As always, then going got tougher - he disappeared. Raptors reverted to their proven offensive strategy for the situations like that: hero ball, hopeless drive to the basket, contested iso jump long distance chucking. No ball movement.

Raptors should have won this game something like 93-82, instead "we got experience". Bleep such experience.

I was critical of Casey not putting JJ back in, but at the same time, we needed offense. JJ can't really give it to you in crunch time. Honestly, a lot of it is just missing DeMar.

If you go back and watch game 2 last year. Our offense went cold once again, and it was DeMar who kept draining mid range jumper after mid range jumper to win us the game.

People may not like DeMar's game, but he can draw fouls, and hit tough contested shots, which is what you need in the league. It's why the media likes to show DeMar as our star player, because he's the guy who can make the tough shots.

look at where the defender is, and then look at what team's jerseys he is wearing

I use the team jersey method to decide whether an out of bounds call will be overturned.

Stopped going to JV/JJ and went with Lou and Ross instead. Lowry played his heart out but OT you could see he was trying to do too much. Refs screwed us over down the stretch but hey I don't even know why I'm surprised but at the end of the day we had the chance to win it and we didn't. Good fight nonetheless. On to the next one.

Instead of using Vasquez in those situations in which we did, we should have went with Lou Williams, despite his poor shooting.

Ross needs to be more aggressive man, he's not helping the team when he's only shooting three's, I don't know if it's because of Casey not drawing any plays for him anymore. Ross was starting to improve right after DD was injured, now he's invisible. JV played fantastic, not playing him in the 4th qtr and OT is a part of the learning process, he will be there in the playoffs. I loved the defensive effort in the first half, but in the 4th qtr and OT, they stopped running to push the Blazers of the 3-point line. Gotta be thankful because this Raptors team was still supposed to be tanking last season and here they are 24-8. This group is still growing and learning, everyone should be satisfied with what this team has accomplished so far. Heartbreaking loss, but you learn more about the game when you lose and Casey will make the required adjustments. He showed he could adjust defensively today by holding the red-hot Blazers to 38 points in the first half.

Onto the next one in the bay area.

Woooooooow. Good game Raptors fans. My heart was pounding the whole fourth quarter. Rematch on March 15th should be terrific. Hopefully both squads are at full health. Good luck and I hope you guys win the East.

Personal Fouls Section II:

"Additionally, if the defensive player who commits the foul is
ahead of the player with the ball who he fouls anytime after that offensive player
enters the frontcourt, no clear path has occurred regardless if he is fouled from
behind or on the side."

This is crystal clear, Vazquez did NOT commit a clear path foul on Batum. He was ahead of him. Can these refs read the rules? When is the lawsuit happening????
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.
