First ballot HOF...for what? No way.

-He has had a long career..
-flashy dunks,
-winning the dunk contest and
-making the NBA acknowledge Canada...

he has actually done nothing worth being voted in on first ballot.

Those reasons alone actually justify a HOF spot, but you've forgot he killed us in the playoffs, and was the only reason Toronto still has an nba team. Never mind inspiring all the Canadian kids in the game today.

Mods, please start banning people who say one player saved this franchise from being moved or folded. These idiotic takes cause worthwhile threads to disintegrate. We've been through this countless times and we shouldn't have to continually push back at false narratives.

A simple search of attendance figures, before and after he, who lacks integrity, played for our team, reveals healthy continuous support from year to year right from day 1. This franchise was never in difficulty and to state that it was is spreading lies.

OG or McCaw has to go. You can't have OG, McCaw and Rondae in the rotation and they give you nothing offensively. OG is way too inconsistent and can barely dribble the ball, same goes for McCaw except he's even worst.

Said it before and I'll say it again. OG is our team's most valuable long-term asset.

I often think the subtle approach to being correct is more effective, but I don't discount your point of view either.

The table width does not accommodate some numbers. Hover your mouse over to see the data.

I get that OG is a net positive with a TPA score of 41.85, but why is he ranked ahead of Kawhi, who has a TPA score of 151.67? Is the age of the player, and/or years experience, factored into the ranking?

The ranking order there is descending DPA. OG, at the age of 22, has the 3rd highest in the NBA thus far, among SF.

Imagine how he'll play once he's old enough to grow facial hair.

I'm merely pointing to OG's current numbers and taking an educated guess that he has plenty more upside in the future.
I don't think that's silly.

I do think suggesting that we trade a 22 year old who gives us elite 1-through-5 defence and an efficient versatile offence that he can build on, is though. Trade him to get who? Someone who is older, more expensive, won't progress, and plays worse defence, only to complain that we don't have a lock-down defender who can shut down opposing wings?

No thank you.

I might not go that far since some people around here don't even think he is as good as Robert Covington.

Btw...I'm on the OG bandwagon...and he is one of our most important defenders...and at 22 no one should be writing him off right now seeing how guys like Pascal, Fre and Norm are taking leaps at age 24/25...

If there is any chance of winning a title this year, it’s because of our defence. When you have no holes in your defence from 1-5, then the need for a primary scorer becomes less vital to competing.

Any OG replacement would have to be top notch defensively, otherwise holes start open up in our defensive system

For this season, a 3 & D OG is fine.

The real question is if Normgod can create his own 60/50/90 club. I can see it.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

He hasn't been near as inconsistent as you're making him out to be. OG has been the 4th or 5th option in the starting lineup for 90% of the season (save for a few games in which McCaw/RHJ started and/or OG came off the bench) and he's putting up 11/6/2 on 58 TS% with elite defence. I think your expectations for a 22-year-old 3+D wing are just way too high.

Those numbers are stupid to be honest with you. You're putting Kawhi alongside OG, that alone is just silly. I never complained about his defense but I pointed out that we cannot have 3 players who provide good D/hustle in rotation without much of a production on the offensive end. We can keep OG for now, especially since he's on a cheaper deal but McCaw would have to go.

In summary, i'm just saying one of OG or McCaw should be moved.

Another easy practice.

Hawks cut it to single digits and take solace with their losers' moral victory.

Kids who didn't live though the expansion-era or O'Neill-era Raptors are outraged.

On to Philly.

Correction - Hawks cut it to single digits to cover the 9 point spread. Glad I cashed out when the Raptors quickly let the lead go from 21->15 and called a timeout.

Kawhi of course had a different skillset offensively at OG's age. It's when he began to improve his midrange game. The comparison is still fascinating, and should keep fans from making sweeping statements on what OG has delivered. I imagine that there must've been demands for trading Kawhi among Spurs fans when he went through a multi-game single digit scoring slump at the same age.

I find it a bit funny who is 11th when you sort by DPS.
