Bro, that would be something we probably won’t be very good next season

Too bad Miami made all the perfect moves while getting better...we on the other hand are worst off than last year!!! (at this point)

This really hurts because the contract he signed could've easily been beat by us if we really wanted to keep him.

This means Ujiri wasn't really trying to keep him and I have to wonder why because I see no viable replacement.

I am pretty shocked he left but based off the contract, either the Raps lowballed which I doubt or he wanted to ring chase. He also really got a long with Kawhi

We assume that he was never offered anything better. I'll bet that he was but he just wanted out. The farewell video wasn't by accident.

Maybe it was ownership?

[*]I got a feeling Toronto only gave Serge a 1 yr deal and not the balloon payment
it must have been worth $15m max

And he likely was not returning after next season

Win a **** championship and players still don’t wanna be here ducking joke

Realistically we aren’t contenders anymore so it makes complete sense to me that Ibaka would go. The Kawhi decision never will though.

Funky ass Clippers i hope the crash and burn again. Respect to Ibaka though, one of the greatest raptors ever and deserves a standing ovation.

Oh FTSOF, take a deep breath and get over yourself.

Ibaka was a solid centre, but he's not the difference between a playoff team and a 'we need to tear it down' Not even remotely close.

Plus, we were only expecting to keep him for one more year. This isn't a long term loss.

*sigh* Raptors' board gonna Raptors' board. Everything has to be all or nothing.

:noway: :noway: :noway: :noway:

This has nothing to do with "getting over myself" ... This has nothing to do with me, and I never made it about me...

• Is there any way of keeping a max-cap slot available while holding on to the Bird Rights/Cap Hold to keep Lowry and Powell next year? NO...
• Is there anyway of realistically competing in the Eastern Conference while losing both Ibaka and Gasol? Doubtful...
• After losing Leonard and Ibaka for NOTHING, is it not smart to cut-bait and grab some future assets for our final veteran pieces remaining from our Championship team, who have no realistic way of staying? Probably
• Is there a better year to take a step back, while the team is playing in Tampa Bay and the 2021 draft is loaded? NO

My statement isn't a "sky is falling" claim you are making it out to be. It is rationalizing our goals and current circumstances and coming up with a logical pathway to move forward... Please though, explain to me what FA the Raps are going to sign tht will keep the Raps as a Top 4 seed in the Eastern Conference next year that makes it worthwhile to lose Powell and Lowry for nothing next year.

Take a deep breath folks. Clips ain't winning a damn thing. We will be fine. The bosses have a plan, and we will continue to succeed. It's that simple.

Not to sure about Boucher, it felt like he has the tendency to chuck and miss a lot from the three point line. We are in very dire need of some major rebounding help. Losing a quality center who shot almost 39% from three definitely hurts and Serge was a player that could make the big play in the playoffs consistently.

This years playoffs showed that the big man still has a major role in today's NBA come playoff time!

What's the allure of ring-chasing when you've already won a ring, no less just two seasons ago?

I think we all knew this was going to be a challenging off season for Masai and co! Now we’re really going to see their contingency plan! Because so far out front court is bleak!

Would've loved to have seen how Masai/Bobby retooled our team if Kawhi came back. We'd be working on that 3 peat.
