You don't lose weight on a vegan diet. I've been on one for a year and I'm still the same weight.

Wouldn't Masai be more likely to be scouting Portland than LA?
Masai doing to the Clippers what the Clippers did to Toronto with Kawhi...
Would lowkey be creepy af Masai in the stands "scouting" Kawhi who is sitting Courtside

I mean putting on weight or maintaining weight on a vegan diet would be tough. The lack of protein sources in most vegan diets are tough to work around since you're so limited on options.

Not really. There are plenty of ways to get your protein. Lots of professional athletes are on vegan diets, including NFL players. Hell, there are weightlifters who are on vegan diets.

Casey is such an mf trying to re-write history to make himself look good.
He insisted that Calderone was his starter, butted heads with Kyle, and leaked to Doug Smith that Calderone was his starter. Calderone only lost his job, when BC couldn't contain his infatuation with Rudy Gay, and Calderone was traded to Memphis with Ed Davis for Gay, and MEM rerouted him to DET for Tayshaun Prince.
Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

There definitely are, but you're still very much limited. Not saying it's impossible, but as a professional athlete you may potentially have a lower ceiling for your athletic potential on a vegan diet.
I've been meal prepping for 10+ years and trust me a 3500 calorie intake on a vegan diet with adequate protein is a struggle.

He will be better than Sabonis within his rookie contract 100%
like usual when many of y'all do your scouting ..y'all match them up against their current competition ..
the question should always be (in his case for a big)....How does he match up against the likes of Embiid, Vucevic, KAT, Gobert, Capela?
You are talking about the "lazy" Kanter comps, Kanter was 18ppg|12rpg with Westbrook. Right now, Sengun has nowhere near that level of physicality and as athletic than Enes showed.
Sabonis is another one with certain level of physicality&Mobility&skills.
He has looked good in summer league against Doumbouya? Kabengele?
So how does he match up against the likes of Embiid, Vucevic, KAT, Gobert, Capela?
Ok, you have a point. But Kanters 18/12 was only for a quarter of a season.
Sengun has dominated SL through 2 games, imo the best performer so far. If you read this board back when we had #7 people were saying he had bust written all over him.
But we'll see in the regular season. Again this guy will be a unanimous top 10 C within his rookie contract. He would've filled the hole JV left at C.

I love that Lou Williams pulled up Casey's college stats and told him to shut up

How did you derive anything negative from what Casey said?
He said that Kyle won the starting job and on day 1 of the regular season, Kyle was the starter. He even said that if he knew then what he knew now, he would have dealt with Kyle in a different manner.

Can't you just drink protein shakes? Plus putting on/losing weight is all about caloric intake right? I could lose weight eating McDonalds every day as long as I'm eating at a deficit.

Wait...what? Kyle wasn't "almost out of the league" when we got him. Freaking BC traded a "lottery pick" that would only convey if it was in the lottery for Kyle. What GM does that? That pick, had we kept it, would have been used to draft Giannis. BC REALLY wanted Kyle that year and got him. I won't call that "almost out of the league"

Yep hemp (tastes terrible) or pea protein. Yeah one could easily lose weight on a McDonalds diet tbh.

Summer league often isnt about winning games. Its about experimenting, working on new things/working on weaknesses, evaluating. Maybe the Pistons just want to see how Cade looks off the ball?
Ya and they still clearly believe in Hayes who looks like a flat out scrub tbh. Them trying to force Hayes development might be at the cost of Cade in the short term. Regardless, it is good to use the player in different ways to see how they react.

Where’d you see this at?
The Clippers are low key a great fit for Dragic and have the salaries to match.
They have Pat Beverley's expiring which is about 14 million. They'd have to throw in Keon Johnson (and maybe either BJ Boston or Jason Preston) to make it worth our while. Would they rather have 35 year old Dragic or 33 year old Pat Bev?
Oh boy...Keon is really having a rough summer league so far. He was 3-14 shooting last night for only 8 points and a team worst -25. He was 4-16 for 8 points on Monday night.
He's raw...no doubt about it...and this explains why he fell so far in the draft.
Beverly would be a great gritty defender off of the bench. Snatching Keon Johnson would be amazing.
and then flipping Beverly at the trade deadline for another resource + young asset/pick would be an incredible GM thing to do.

It's always good to hear nice words from former Raps on their time with Toronto.
I wasn't a fan of Casey's parting shots when he left or his inability to take responsibility for the Raps' losses but we don't get to the 'ship with Nurse without the foundation laid by Casey and his coaching staff.
Main reason we won the title is because we got Kawhi. Casey never got a chance with him. I doubt Nurse would have won more with Demar/Lowry.
I still believe Nurse is the better coach but we never got to compare apples to apples between the 2 coaches.

Being on a vegan diet requires too much planning for food, not to mention you deprive yourself of some real tasty food. What made you go to it?

News flash but guys like Lebron, Steph, Duncan, Rose etc. all underperformed in summer league.
Not saying these games are completely meaningless but take these games with a grain of salt.

Sounds great but reality is that we're going to get marginal talent for Dragic. Heck, we got a marginal return for Lowry who is easily more sought after. Let's not raise our expectation more than what reality has shown us lol.
