Getting Cason Wallace would be unbelievable but I think he ends up going top 5.

Which is ridiculous, SV probably has Julian Phillips ahead of him. Jett is the best movement shooter in this draft. Two ankle sprains in 2023 slowed him down, I think he gets drafted in the 10-20 range.

Defensively Jett leaves a lot to be desired but his shooting is going to help shift momentum for his team. If you can get him to become even an adequate defender your ROI could be insane.
Say you get two mid-late firsts and take Jett + Terq just to be off the bench scorers and give them ultra green lights. Your bench would be super streaky but very dangerous.

It's kinda like watching Demar, both the quicks, reaction time and total package on D are a step slow. Don't see Masai going for it.

I agree, Masai probably passes on non defenders. But there are nice possibilities with guys who can shoot like him at his size. As much as I vouch for Masai he’d pass on Peja Stojakovic in this draft if he were available. He had a negative BPM most years in Sacto but let’s be honest with ourselves about what his real impact was.

I've had him on my DND list for ages. Because daddy has so much influence in NBA circles some team will take him in the 1st and regret it.

Rather take him than thompson twins who will go top 10. At least this kid has a translatable skill

Still worth a 1st. He can shoot and he's 6'8. Just not much potential outside that. I still see a decent rotation player which is still worth a 1st.REJECTEDBYCLARK wrote:WuTang_OG wrote:jett howard dropping hard #24

The Thompson twins do almost everything better than Howard. I don't understand why people are dismissing them so easily. They are incredibly talented and can ball, they're not just freak athletes with low bball IQ. I don't think they're the most intelligent human beings but it is what it is They have multiple skills which already look elite by NBA standards.

Not shooting. They both can't. People are questioning them cuz they are playing in a low talented league. It's warranted.

Jett also has awful rebounding numbers which is another red flag.

They pass the eye test. I can see them doing everything they demonstrated in the NCAA or NBA. People can dismiss them because of playing in OTE, it doesn't really change the talent they have as players.
As far as Amen goes, dribble penetration and finishing ability are at a premium and Amen's ability in those regards might be some of the best I've seen in ages. I hated Jalen Green and still do. I don't think Amen is the same type of prospect. He looks like he could be an unstoppable force driving to the rim and eventually possess the best drive and dish game in the entire league. You also have to respect how they both show a willingness to pass, defend and rebound. No way in this life or another I'm taking Jett Howard over Amen.

They are both wild cards. They are athletic, great. Eye test doesn't mean anything in crappy competition. Howard can shoot the lights out and you can bet GM's would be more comfortable taking him over the twins, especially for a freshman doing what he did this past season in college. Amen has no chance to ever develop a shot, it's beyond broke. Not touching him. Would actually draft his brother over him who at least has a chance to develop a shot.

Nick Smith was ranked higher last year I believe, is younger and showed that against college competition is pretty bad (I mean there's a chance it's injury related and a small sample size).
The twins could be good...but based on historical precedence I would think their odds of being total busts are like 75%, with a 15% chance of becoming off the bench/ end of the bench guys, 5% averagish starters, and 5% positive valuable players.
I think those numbers might even be too high because there have been much younger (more highly touted players) such as Boozer who put up much better stats against the same competition that the Thompson twins played against and also the twins are awful shooters.
Boozer is legit 3.5 years younger and played an exhibition game against one of the same teams the twins played and just completely dominated, way more than they did.

They are athletic freaks producing in a low talent league. Both can't shoot it. I don't see the appeal at all.. especially for where they are mocked. Charlotte will draft one of them and bust

At some point it becomes a decent gamble to take them, but I don't know if that's in the 20s, 30s, or 40s+. I know I wouldn't even be interested in looking at them if I was in charge of only picking in the lottery.

As long as both go before we pick, I'm happy.

Under 37% from college 3 point range is shooting the lights out?

Weak response. He's a really good shooter that gets it off all over the floor and in motion. 37% on 7 attempts for a freshman lol .. very good. But you will take the 23% from 3 from the twins instead
