Since we're in the draft for sure, started digging a bit.

These guys caught my eye so far.

Trevon Brazile, soph, 6'10 F with splits of 50/42/71
Ajay Mitchell, junior, 6'5 G with splits of 51/40/86
Kylan Boswell, soph, 6'2 G with splits of 42/40/90
Kel'el Ware, soph, 7'0 C with splits of 57/35/71

I talked about Ware earlier. He fits like a glove here but won’t be available when we pick.

Brazile is more realistic, but he kinda fits into the same spots as Scottie and Pascal, while being less versatile.

Givony out with a new top 25. Probably the closest to my personal list that I've seen of all the online rankings. I'm similarly high on Rissacher, Salaun, Dillingham, Smith, Brazile. I like Edey too but I'd put him more in the 20s.

Donovan Clingan will fall out of the lottery, I've felt he's been ranked too high all season long

I think Berke Buyuktuncel will end up being an early 2nd round pick by the time of the draft

I also like Izan Almansa in our draft range if he’s still there by then

Brazile has the athletic profile and we probably need another big wing or big for our roster after losing OG.

I doubt he falls that far but I do like Almanza as initially a backup C. He seems like a smart player but I'd still probably favor someone like Brazille for his potential to stretch the floor a bit more.

We all know Masai loves a mystery box and this under the radar guy looks like he'd be right up Masai's alley like Giannis, Bruno, and Coulibaly last year. Guy looks like Bam with three point range. Could rise late in the process like Coulibaly did.

Ulrich Chomche, C/PF, 6'11" 235lbs (7'4" wing)
Age: 18
Born: Cameroon

Strengths: Great length at 6–11 with a 7–4 wingspan (and possibly still growing) with a strong body, explosive, and good speed … Potentially game changing defender, especially at the rim… Very quick jumper … Great on the break … Attacks the rim with hostility … Excellent rebounder who seeks out the box out… Has very strong hands and often gets the “50/50” balls … Has shown strides in developing his offensive game, including spot up outside shooting like from the corner three spot and the free throw line … Really fast in the open floor and a big threat to catch a lob pass and throw down, either on a halfcourt back cut or on the fast break … Decent hands for a big on the catch … Sneaky good passer who can find cutters, decent court vision and general feel to keep an offense flowing (not a black hole in the post) … Reportedly known among peers and coaches as very humble and with a great work ethic… Takes huge running strides a la Giannis and absorbs contact well on the drive (he is very strong, with good core strength). While right now the excitement is more over his defensive ability, and he has a very long way to go to develop as a go-to offensive threat, you can’t help but see the potential on that side of the ball as well, especially given that he’s already shown a good feel and good vision / passing and moves with control … Shows a Eurostep on the break to avoid charges … Shows the makings of some traditional bigman post skills and is very very tough around the basket, enjoying contact … Shows some touch around the basket …

Outlook: NBA Draft as a 2005 born player … A high upside player, who could become a first rounder despite being extremely early in his development process …

Notes: At BWB Global in Salt Lake City measured 6’9.75 without shoes with 7’3.75 wingspan Max Vert 33.75 … From Cameroon, and many are calling him “the best prospect out of Cameroon since Joel Embiid”… Started playing basketball at age 11 because he was the tallest kid in his hometown… Was the 2022 BWB Cairo Defensive MVP… If he chooses to play college ball, University of Arizona is reportedly the favorite to land him (high school class of 2024).

Whoa! There's a lot to like in those clips. Nice find. Form looks decent too. I don't mind taking swings on unicorns like this. Too bad there's no way to track his progress this year.

Was looking at drafting Zach Edey with a 2nd rounder but what about Hunter Dickinson? He transferred from Michigan to Kanasas.

Last season he shot the 3 at 40% and so far a nice start at 50%. Seems like Mason Plumlee that can shoot 3's. At least usable as a backup C.

If I’m getting a big lumbering guy I’m getting the biggest one, so Edey.

Outside of Risacher, Ja'Kobe and Cody Williams, I'm not enamoured by this draft. Maybe trade the #31 pick for a later 2nd and a 2024 2nd pick? Draft Edey or Dickinson to replace Koloko in case.

This draft blows

I'd take Bronny just for the hell of it hoping his Dad joins

Klutch won’t allow that. They’ll definitely steer Bronny to a place LeBron wants to play.

I think Bronny is entering this year considering the scare he had. But I think he will take any contract he can get

I seriously doubt that. The heart issue will be inconsequential to the team that drafts him to get his father, but to get his father you will also need to be the right team.

You don't like Sheppard or Dillingham? I'm a big Reed Sheppard fan.

Could Reed Sheppard be a taller Mark Price 2.0? Who knows. Numbers are insane though.

I guess we could run a Lillard/McCollum backcourt. I guess Memphis is running Ja and Bane with even Smart at SF.

Hmmmm, maybe he's Steph Curry 2.0? He is already shooting from NBA range and shoots 90% FT's.

Will have to trade Pascal and tank hard. I guess miss the playoffs and somehow move up to the #4 pick AGAIN to draft Sheppard.

How are we getting Reed or Dillingham? We’re going to be close if not into the playoffs now, and the top 5-6 guys are out of the question barring injuries. We should be talking about guys at 31.
