So, when we have OG, and they have KD, we can beat them.

Great...

Raptors still got in at 4 am...and still played a B2B *shrug*

Given the documented evidence of the Raptors disadvantage going into this one, this is the biggest "fake win" reach in Raptors history.

If precious can just be average, not even good, and have a 3 key bench pieces in GTJ/Precious alongside one of those guys you mention, could be the makings of dare I say a bench?

Koloko returning would be huge too

I like burks a lot, especially if we’re only swapping expirings. I like Monte Morris for the same reason. Bogdanovic too, but salaries get trickier and we are forced to move pieces we may use in trades for bigger contracts.

My preferred player to target from Detroit is Killian Hayes. He’s been usurped by Jaden Ivey and Marcus Sasser. For us, he’s infinitely better than Malachi and would be a redraft piece for us to develop. He’s on a rookie scale contract for one year more as well. Just like Malachi.

McDaniels, Flynn and a 2nd for Hayes.
I believe in Masai.

HiJiNX wrote:Exactly! Not sure why this continues to be a debate on this board. Sometimes he dogs it. Sometimes the team puts him in a terrible position. Sometimes he just needs to play through it like he did tonight. He wasn’t given the ball to start the fourth, he took it. And when he was successful, the team started giving it to him. THAT is how you ascend and respond to not being given the keys—you take them.

The lineup with Precious in for Jakob and Flynn in for Schroder gave him the confidence and rhythim to be able to do that - thank god Precious was decent today. He got rolling in that lineup and when Schroder came back in, Scottie kept the ball, and Schroder allowed it because it was working.

I'll continue to say this: the usage problem we have is due to Dennis Schroder. Dennis wants to run the team and he's not going to get off ball for Scottie to do so. There have been multiple instances now where Schroder has sulked in the back court when Scottie has refused to give him the ball on an inbounds. Darko is not going to be able to reign him in because no coach can - the only player Schroder has ever deferred to is Lebron.

Scottie definitely needs to demand it more and go take it. But we also need to remove Schroder from this equation.

I too have an eye for body language and have noticed this on a number of occasions during the season. Even last night against Brooklyn, Dennis didn’t bother getting into offensive position and was sulking in the backcourt when Barnes was dribbling up the ball quickly. The Raptors were essentially playing 4 on 5 on offense.

Darko needs to remind Dennis that Scottie should be prioritized but I don’t think Darko has the heart to say that to his buddy Dennis.

Yeah.. trying too hard to be liked by all players.. but he's got to get players to play the way HE WANTS...

Noticed when Schroder has 10 or more assists and fewer shots, we win. Who knew?

Solid fun win. Tight performance. Good game plan from Darko. Lots of guys doing the little things right. Trent dropped some points and we kept Siakam from chucking too hard.

And Scottie Barnes.... fantastic ownership of the game in the 4thQ. Vibes and fit with Siakam are still questionable.

Precious looked wobbly and awful, but his number were ok. I'll take it. That and his momentous 3pter.

Decided not to watch the game after the Nets debacle. Spent it with my wife and 3 month old instead. It honestly felt good to just detach myself from Raptors basketball for once in 27 years. I thought this was a loss but of course we win the game. Scottie and Precious have bounce back games. Still don't like how this roster is built and change is still needed.

Did not like Pascal's answer at 9:42. Writing is on the wall and he gotta go.

What did you hear here that is bad exactly?
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

"I mean, i think he's a good guy...i think"

"he continues to motivate the guys" - What about himself?

"like i think he does a good job to get us to try to kinda like do some of the things he wants us to do..."

Then he goes straight to Darko's limitation of a first time head coach. He talks about him like he's a rookie player.

Sounds like a vet who doesn't want to buy in.

clown ass question, "in terms of human relationship what do you like most with darko", cringe af.

I have zero issues with guys putting some realness into their answers, are you really craving some generic athlete bs answer that badly? Darko hasn't exactly been boosting siakam to the media either.

I think people just want a bunch of sports movie cliche quotes lol.

It's pretty clear at this point that Siakam doesn't think much of Darko's coaching pedigree and that Darko wasn't really familiar with Siakam's game. No clue why the media desperately wants them say glowing things about each other, it just makes for awkward moments.

Notice when Scottie dominates and has a great game, he involves his teammates and isn’t a black hole? Also he can be a dominate force on both ends and all facets of the game not just scoring.
