His mid-range shots are very questionable, couple of mid-range fade-away, forcing a little bit. However, when he is playing on the arc, he makes good read, making the right pass to the open player, even cross court.

I think he is the Darko type of guy, high IQ on both end, but unsure he is tough enough to defend his position. Unlikely to be Ujiri type of guy, but we may draft him for Darko. Maybe a Bogdanović type of player.

That's who I posted he reminds me of a little while ago, Bojan Bogdanovic. Definitely not a Masai guy but nevertheless in identifying which guys can stick in the NBA in some capacity it looks like he can. Projects as a guy who will be a considerable negative on D but who can light it up on any given night on O. Outlier stats combined with age not strong enough to give him a high ceiling. Orlando is the best fit for him where the team can mask his weaknesses and he can just focus on scoring.

Yes, ball handling and passing would be Bojan level, shooting would be Bogdan level. That would probably the ceiling, and he is not far from it.

George really surprised me on this game.
Being PnR handler, he is still a bit mechanic in his passing, getting blocked at the end (meaning he is not reading it fast enough)? But his improvement on being a ball handler is a bit surprised, even he got a turnover due to mis dribble.
His defense is all over the place, and he was very impactful at the game end. He is probably a plus at the next level, but need to be even more physical to be an elite defender.

I kind of feel he could be Tatum lite, quick release, willingness in posting up against smaller players, plus defender. I think he may move up after the combine. He would be Ujiri type of guy, I believe, but not much of a Darko guy due to lack of ability to read and process.

Size at the forward position used to be our strength. By trading away OG, Pascal, Porter, Thad and Achuiwa, took that away. It is evidently that we need size at the forwards position after Barnes got injured. There is no proper replacement right now, Boucher seems out of the team plan and McDaniel ….

We know Masai, he may very likely draft someone who is 6-8 tall and 7.0+ wingspan again .

Watching Providence for first time. Carter, undersized SG, hustles, decent ball handling, but is clearly suited to off ball more. Would be surprised if he became an NBA starter. Actually reminds me of his father Anthony a lot.

I was pumping him up earlier. I do see a fit but lately soured on him because I do notice a lack of burst but it can be mitigated by his size. His turnover issue is also correctable but he makes some bad ones.

You know who he comps to me? Dalano Banton with a jumper.

Lots of NCAA games with interesting prospects going on this afternoon. A bunch of potential 1st round picks.

Villanova vs Providence (Carter)
Kansas vs Baylor (McCullar, Furphy, Walter, Missi)
Arkansas vs Kentucky (Sheppard, Dillingham, Wagner, Ivisic, Brazile)

Ivisic defense needs a lot of work, intriguing potential but expect a project as he's behind the curve right now.
Brazile hasn't had a great season but remains an interesting player if he can play PF at next level. Requires projection.

Watching this team after Scottie went down last night really showed you how much we lack for players that can singularly create an advantage on offense outside of RJ. Like Barnes he relies a lot on bully ball, but it's still an advantage he can consistently gain on most of his defenders.

Missi is having the best game of his college career today, 17 pts with 0 fouls and 0 turnovers and has flashed the ability to bank shots off the glass in close in creative ways and some other ways to finish inside besides just dunking everything. If I were to evaluate him based on today's footage and production alone I would have him as a late lottery pick.

I'm thinking Walter is going to fall out of the lottery.

Tramon Mark is a dog, has the Kelvin Sampson defensive pedigree.

If that’s the case I’d hope he was available at the Indy pick.

At this point I'd legit take Alexander over Walter, at least he has a midrange game and can facilitate.

Alexander has been my guy since last year but I have to do a deeper dive into Walter. He seems good from what I’ve seen, but Alexander is definitely an NBA player in my opinion so that’s tough to beat for most players in the draft since the majority fail.

I think his most likely outcome in the NBA is a Lou Williams (different play style though since he's a better passer than Lou Will was) type bench scorer rather than a long term positive-impact starter. He's got lots of skills, but I think his lack of size and strength is going to limit his ultimate potential.
