well he can't have a massive buyout forever and he's a second rounder so we can front load a contract to help cover a buyout. do you know the details?

my plan no matter if he wants to leave or not:

Raptors trade:
Chris Bosh
Jose Calderon

Hornets trade:
Chris Paul
Emeka Okafor

Raptors trade:
Andrea Bargnani
DeMar DeRozan
Reggie Evans

Wizards trade:
Andray Blatche
Mike Miller
JaVale McGee

Raptors trade:
Hedo Turkoglu

Warriors trade:
Corey Maggette

New team:

Emeka Okafor/JaVale McGee
Andray Blatche/Amir Johnson
Corey Maggette/Antoine Wright
Mike Miller/Sonny Weems
Chris Paul/Jarrett Jack

If BC is forced to trade Bosh, then yeah, that pretty much necessitates a rebuild of one kind or another. i think he'll want to remain semi-competitive and put an entertaining team on the court but I don't think he'll use the MLE. I think he'll look to get value for Jose and look for an uptempo point guard. I think he'll look for a quick rebuild, and won't actively tank, though the team might do so anyways. he'll give Jay another transition year with a young team and see if he sinks or swims. I think he'll stockpile and be patient with the CBA coming up for negotiations. he'll hope for an amnesty for Turk, hopefully total amnesty.

If Bosh is traded, you have to look toward 2012. I think BC has the foresight to retool with athleticism and strip away contracts for the new CBA's era. Chances are some good players are going to get waived and it will be a nice time to have cap space to pick one up.

Back to the topic at hand, I don't think I want any part of Ariza's contract, better to make contracts match by adding David Anderson, and maybe Houston signing their pick before trading it (Stanley Robinson anyone?). Maybe we could get Brooks too but i really want lull, hill, and picks so...

If Bosh gets traded Turk has to go with him.

Sell CHI on the idea of Bosh and Wade

S&t Bosh for Noah and Deng with an agreed to second deal of Turk and Jack for Hinrich

Is it possible to get 2010 draft picks in a sign and trade. Because the day to sign players is in july, but the draft is in june?

I'd prefer to keep bosh... but if the Raps do a sign and trade, I hope they trade our pick'n'roll tandem too.. include Calderon in a bosh s'n't

A package of Ben Gordon, RIP Hamilton, and Will Bynum.... maybe

I don't think it'd work salary wise... but something along these lines would work.

If they are getting rid of Bosh, BC should tag along a bad contract.
Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

i can't get this rockets trade out of my head because it makes too much sense for it not to happen. it's very possible that this seed is already planted in BC and CB's minds, keeping them up at night. the raptors have had three strike outs and it looks like Morey is looking for a home run, first at bat.

Bosh

for

Jordan Hill
Jared Jeffries
Stanley Robinson - drafted and signed
David Anderson
Rights to Sergio Llull
Rockets/Knicks 2011 first round pick

team of the future

Llull/Jack
DD/Weems
Robinson/Printezis
Bargnani/Amir
Hill/??

Needs some work but I actually kind of like it. Athletic slasher/cutters to complement your pick and pop/roll game. Hill's got some defensive potential methinks; this team could use a PJ-Brown type. Build with athleticism - that's the direction BC has to choose.

I'll be choked if BC can't get this kind of return for Chris.

That seems reasonable to me.
I'd love to unload Turk as part of that trade and pick up Battier but I doubt it happens.

No, but you can have the right for the rookie player (give him the contract).
Eg. Roy Hilbert where Toronto drafted as the 2nd pick and send the rights to Indiana
Thurs, you can tell them who you want them to draft.

Meanwhile, people are over estimating the power of sign and trade.
You don't have the bargaining power for Chris Paul or Okafor, please be reasonable.

S&T can get you what the other team wants to give you, you have no power on what you want to get, but you can reject what they want to give you.
Usually the players are in the trading block or in the same position (eg. PF in our case)

Also, don't expect we can attach Hedo and Jose, we don't have that authority.
The reason we are getting back something is because of their cap, if they have no cap issue, they can just send us a 2nd round pick.

If we are dealing with the SAS, I would be asking for Hill, not Blair and Splitter + salary filler.

Chris Paul is a top 5 or 6 player in the league while Okafor is a mediocre center with a bad contract. I'd say you could get Okafor back in a trade but not Paul, their value is very different.

If you have power to reject what a team gives you, that is absolutely power in what you get. Bosh will either be signed and traded for assets or he will sign outright with another team. There is no way BC trades Bosh for a 2nd rd pick. Phoenix got more for sign and trading Joe Johnson back when the hawks were his only suitor. Bosh will have many teams interested, especially if Wade & Lebron stay with their teams.

I do agree that many posters here will be disappointed in the return. Not only in the value of a sign and trade, but also just considering how high and risky Bosh's contract is. There will be comparable players in the league making a little more than half of what Bosh does next year - and they'll be stuck with him for six years.

People expecting Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Lamarcus Aldridge or Joakim Noah will be very disappointed.

It's a little more realistic to hope for David Lee, Darren Collison, Mike Beasley, George Hill or Paul Milsap. Or, what seems more realistic are draft picks or Euro rookies like Lull or Splitter.

If SAS does not resign Ginobli, they probably going to rebuild. So I think they are unlikely to give up young talent.

Am i the only one seeing Bosh in Houston?

Post#215 » by F1uxCapacit0r » Fri Mar 26, 2010 3:47 pm

I honestly think that is his most likely destination. Bosh would want to go there

they could be a contender with a front court of yao bosh

they have the assets to acquire him via S&T

Bosh still gets his flow in a S&T

Bosh gets his much needed media exposure better in the states

closer to home

Morey set himself up to be able to make a very good offer in a S&T he said as much in an interview. I think they really like the idea of Yao and Bosh. As Bosh willk get teams in the bonus early and when teams are in the bonus they can't stop Yao, as he's too big and strong not too foul and he's too good of a free throw shooter.

I hope CB will choose Houston.
