I think some of it comes from this love for Bayless which I also share. Thing is though as much as I'm a fan I'm not completely convinced that he can be the pg of the future for this team. I think Knight can become a better shooter and defender then him over time. Hell having him back up Bayless over Jose would be awsome.

Me too. Knights D at PG will make the whole team better. I'm really liking him with our pick

Knight / Bayless
Derozan / Barbosa
Johnson / Klezia
Davis / Amir
Bargnani / C(Calderon trade)

Were looking pretty good. Imagine getting Gilchrist next year. That can fully compliment Andrea

Knight
Derozan
Gilchrist
Davis
Bargnani

I think Bayless role in the NBA is as a 6th man coming off the bench and scoring ala Crawford,Barbosa,Smith, ect. He isn't a long term solution at PG for us

Having those guys back there would make defense easier for everyone else and rub off on the rest of the team.

Knight = 3rd most talented player in the draft, he's 18 and he approaches the game like Demar. If we get the PG Demar out of this draft we should be happy. I say draft Knight.

That would be one of the worst ball-handling backcourts in the league.

I really believe Knight can improve at all aspects may it be ball-handling, passing or whatever. I think people don't give him enough credit. He has lots of room for improvement. But the best part is he knows this. He's not satisfied with his game. He's gonna be one of those players in the gym at all hours of the Knight WITH Demar (hopefully) getting better and just putting in overtime.

My problem with Knight is his shooting percentages. Not impressive, especially for college.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Really? I don't really agree with that. Statistically he wasn't really bad in that area. Also, consider that 1)he's a freshman, and 2)he's about even with Walker in that area, and it's not so bad. And his %s from 3 are actually pretty encouraging.

Enes Kanter and see during workouts things about him like defense, rebounding, post play, ect and make sure his knee checks out.

If its deemed he cant play D well and is all offense, you go with Brandon Knight

So Enes Kanter until workouts and then if he has a bad workout then its Brandon Knight for me.

He seems to be a good man defender, however he is slow, and with our poor perimeter defense, I doubt he makes any difference.

Bargnani is a good man defender, poor help defender. Sounds just like him IMO. Differences being Kanter has post moves and Bargnani a better shooter. When Bosh was here i often thought Bargnani was the better man to man defender but its his help D thats awful. Pick Knight he brings D and can make Bargnani look passible

He is slow getting to the position, not slow reacting.
His timing is great, and know his role (when to help and when not to help).

At times Bosh was playing the C spot, just like where JO plays on both end, and it works fine.
After the departure of Bosh, we tried to do too much with Bargnani, which is not his role nor his ability. So there was problem with our coaching and strategy with players, where we only play them at one end, but not giving them instruction at both end.

David Aldridge did a run down on Power Forward prospects in this year's draft. He lists Derrick Williams as a PF, and he tops the list. He also had a lot of scout quotes that said that Vesely was the real deal and a top 5 pick in this year's draft.

15 days until the NBA draft lottery... we'll finally have a good understanding of who we'll actually be able to get. Hopefully its either #1 or #2

Vesely is going to be good. I've only seen him play twice, but he's a guy who impacts the game through his energy. I don't think he slips past Utah. I think they take him, assuming they don't move up any after the lottery process.

Givony is tweeting nasty things about that Aldridge column.

This David Aldridge article is like a parody of NBA draft article. Could people have really told him that Motiejunas plays against midgets?

Wow. Aldridge is usually on the ball, perhaps he's getting bad information.

While that Iguodala comparison is obviously pretty flawed, I believe that Lute Olson actually compared Williams to him during the tourney.

Lute Olson did compare him to Andre Iguodala during an interview in the Arizona game against either Duke or Texas. It seemed like a very odd comparison when I heard it.

Thought it was the UCONN game, but I think he only compared Williams to Iguodala because of their athleticism and obvious Arizona connection

These tweets are completely unnecessary and ultimately pretty unprofessional, especially considering some of the **** Givony puts out there.
