That's one great looking pull up J.

Why isn't he seeing more minutes in the tourney right now?

he played really poorly against korea so i guess they benched him? that deshawn pierre guy was outplaying him and they both have a similar role so i guess they just went with the one who was playing well.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

Dyshawn and Negus have completely different games. Negus is more of a point guard with height and Dyshawn is a bit more of an undersized 4 at this level though, can play the 3. Love both of these kids but play a completely different role and shouldn't interfere with minutes between them.

Scrubb, Clarke, Olivier and Lomomba are his competition for minutes for Negus. The thing that is hard to get is Negus is so versatile that he can play the 1,2,3 so I don't get why you Canada's not using that :S

I believe the term is "Blasian", and yes he is. Black, Chinese and Trini.

The correct term is Chinegro.

Here are the Canadian highlights from the 16U boys capturing bronze in Cancun for the FIBA Americas 16U. We had some issue with the site so I was unable to post our full coverage but thought I would share this. They beat Costa Rica lost to Puerto Rico, beat mexico, lost to the US, then won the rematch with Puerto Rico by 30 for the bronze:

Damon Stoudamire is also at the Lebron James Skills Academy. He just got hired for a coaching position with Memphis, and is taking a look at some of the players. Got to meet him, he is actually staying in our hotel. I didn't take pics since I'm here for work but perhaps later.

Its sad that these young kids are excelling in hoops which is labeled the fastest growing sport in Canada, and the only comments on here for the past few topics is which derogatory name suits Negus the best.

Just thinking out loud #rant

BTW here is a reverse windmill from Bennett earlier today:

nbadraft.net now has their 2013 mock draft up. after having cojo and TT go in the first round this year listen to what they have going in the next 2
2012- kabongo 12th, kris josepg 21, andrew nicholson 33.
2013- dwight powell 3rd, khem birch 10th.

pretty incredible. even though i think powell there is pretty ridiculous. he didnt show much in his freshman year to make me thing top 3 pick. get drafted? maybe, the kids got a tonne of potential, sure fire lottery? uh no. but lets hope.

they also have a write up on 2012 draft sleepers and include powell, heres the blurb on him

Dwight Powell - Powell is a very long, very versatile forward with a high amount of potential. In his first year at the collegiate level, he impressed with his activity and overall feel for the game. His biggest fault revolved around his poor consistency. His production was up and down throughout the season, in part because he couldn't manage to stay out of foul trouble. This is not an uncommon problem for young players like Powell, so look for him to improve upon this issue in his sophomore season. Consistency -- couple with a bit of added responsibility with the basketball -- could catapult Powell into top-10 discussions before you know it.

(amazingly rob sacre isnt on either years mock draft, despite sonrise arguing with me that he was a guarenteed first round, if not lottery, pick)

also manny arop left gonzaga for indiana state, and olu ashaolu (just read an old si article about him being the best underclassmen in the country and being at the same level of carmelo... oh to be back in 2006 again) transefered to oregon (chosing it over texas) to play with devoe joseph. as olu graduated hes playing as a graduate student (he redshirted his freshman year) he wont have to sit out a year like arop.

Why are you so bitter? It's actually embarrassing. Sacre will be drafted, book it. I also said that Nicholson would be drafted and you said that I was crazy, but you conveniently left that one out. Seriously, you must have the thinnest skin in the world. I have zero problem admitting that I am wrong about something, yet I have never once seen you write that you were wrong. can you admit when you are wrong about something?

As for Negus, he apparently had a hairline fracture in his shin and Sim broke his nose, that's why they haven't played the past few games.

show me where i say nicholson wont get drafted and ill admit i was wrong. ive always maintained nicholson had at worst an outside shot at getting drafted, and if he improves could easily get drafted. same thing i said about sacre.

also, me making a joke and you rushing in to write about paragraph about how embarassing i am doesnt really show my thin skin. just so you know.

You mention me in like 1 outta every 10 posts; either you have a man crush on me or are my personal cyber stalker. I have opinions that differ from yours.......... it's okay Matt, I promise, it's okay.
