the options here are so much better, would be a great opportunity for whomever designed them if this is what they are being compared to.

I have about 30 designed during the past year for fun, so I might choose some to submit for the contest. I don't have the shorts designed, so it probably wouldn't qualify.

Honestly, I think the Toronto Castles could be really awesome the more I think about it. Imagine a blue crest with a white stone castle turret on it and the words "Toronto Castles" on it.

Has history due to Casa Loma being the only castle in North America (and if I'm not mistaken the original owner was one of the pioneers of hydro electricity in the world)

Kids love castles. A black hat with a blue crest and a White Castle turret on it would look awesome. Same thing for centre court. It would also allow us to switch to blue and white.

What would the mascot look like? Some sort of knight?

My one regret with getting rid of the Raptors moniker is losing our mascot, which in my biased opionion, is one of the best in the NBA. Obviously the guy behind it would still be around, but the mascot design is actually very well done - not too cutesy or cartoony, but also not too serious looking. I'd hate to lose that..

One area of inspiration that I haven't seen anybody with artistic skill pursue that could be potentially very interesting is to try and channel the kind of family crest/warrior clan/ancient shield/ancient flag style of art that often featured Dragons or Griffins or Lions or boats but with a Raptor instead. Basically, pretend that some old clan had a dinosaur on their crest instead of a dragon and that's essentially what I'm imagining.

I don't have the skills to pull it off but many of those older logos in soccer look incredible classic and timeless because they feel like they're from a 1000 years ago. If you could take that concept and put a slightly modern twist on it you could have something really special, kind of like how the Nets logo looks like it's from the 1930s. Can anybody create a Raptor logo in that family crest/warrior clan/ancient flag style?

On those original Raptor jerseys, the Raptor logo is wearing a jersey with just an "R" on it. Shouldn't the Raptor be wearing an actual Raptors jersey? Although this might create some kind of infinite fractal situation.

Here it is with straight pinstripes. Haven't played with fonts yet.

Anyone of these jerseys minus the raps symbol (put the number where the raptors symbol is) change the letter font and remove those triangle onto of the name in the back. These jerseys would be amazing with those changes!!!

I did this as an homage to old school Blazers and Cincinnati Royals jerseys with vertical font, and then realized that the Thunder recently came out with a similar alternate jersey

Thoughts anyone? It's fairly similar to the recolours that people are doing of the old jersey, just got rid of the old Raptor logo and modernized the font..

That's my favorite so far! Don't like the claw that much, and Id go for straight pinstripes, but besides that the jersey is pure class. Maybe ditch the light gray for pure white as well, but that's just my anti-gray bias

The light gray was meant to stand in for the silver that they use, but I do think the white pops more...
