If we lose game 2, it's time to make Chuck Hayes our head coach.

Why the **** did Masai get fined this time? Because he said he doesn't give a **** about "it?" Wtf... It's not like he dissed anyone directly... The hell is up with the nba.

Chuck favourited. Players turning against Casey?

Oh, that's not good.

Actually, Chuck has been liking similar posts like that throughout the regular season. Whether or not Casey has found out about it yet is unknown lol

You're probably right. Maybe..

It's extremely upsetting when a coach SABOTAGES a team for any lack of good reason. Now I know it's easy to sit in my armchair and criticize an NBA Coach having never held such a position - but when you've got hundreds, if not thousands of fans, and as of recent, a veteran basketball player in Chuck Hayes at a loss for the bonehead moves the coach is pulling - maybe just maybe it might be the right thing to do - for the sake of all of our sanity and for the future of this organization.

I still feel that Dwayne Casey would make an EXCELLENT assistant coach, he's very talented at a few things which would be valuable to many organizations - I STRONGLY feel that he is not suited for an NBA Head Coach position. What ever benefit we could have reaped from his time here I feel we have already reaped. Unless we want to remain complacent maybe such drastic measures are the only way we can make progress.

Just because a thousand idiots say something doesn't make it smart. I respect your feelings, but how many times in your life has anyone asked you to make a decision on the competence of someone to coach basketball? I wouldn't because you actually think he's sabotaging the team, and don't sound very rational to me. I've believed all along that Masai is a better judge of how good a job Casey's doing, and I'm going to rely on him. I doubt he is in the dark regarding Casey's use of JV or JJ, and I think he will make a decision based on the entire playoffs, which are far from over unless you believe lightweight Toronto fans who all too often gave up on games throughout the year that the players did NOT give up on and went on to win. Go Raps! We win this game and it's 1-1.

I totally understand what you're saying. However, I do feel that we cannot discount the fact that other than the "thousand idiots" we've seen players, namely Chuck Hayes, as of late who have shown their concern and agreement with the sentiment of the fans.

I do not consider myself smarter than, or in a better position to judge personnel then Masai Ujiri - however, as a fan, and as a member of the greater society, I've seen that many times change does not happen unless attention is brought to the problem. My comments on the "Fire Casey!" chants were probably more out of frustration than rational thinking, but I would not be opposed to the attention that such chants would bring. The chances of Ujiri listening to a bunch of fans and not doing his due diligence before taking any actions are slim to none. After all, this organization is a business - and sometimes when the money is being raked - management may not see any reason to shake things up. My hope is, perhaps by showing the way we feel - at the very least we can see some sort of result.

Just my opinion.

Chuck Hayes pfft! That concerns me in that, if he's lost Hayes's confidence, there may be others. And as much criticism as Casey gets here, no one has suggested a good alternative, so who knows what his replacement will be like? But would I take Hayes judgment over the professional NBA coaches who have endorsed Casey? No. I think most of the people who criticize Casey are basketball failures who are well known to criticize more than praise. It's just in the nature of the modern sports fan to want to appear more knowledgeable and that means criticizing someone. The coach is an easy target. If anyone here even knows what coaching Casey does outside the 48 minutes they watch a couple of times a week, by all means, raise your hands. I'd love to hear what else he does wrong besides not playing the players you think he should play.

I don't know what anyone is surprised about with Casey. This is the man who screwed up our most crucial possession last year by not knowing where we were in-bounding from. This is just par for the course. He probably isn't playing JJ because he doesn't like his rebellious new haircut.

Watching the Boston-Cleveland game and I'm so jealous that the Celtics have a great young coach like Brad Stevens. His game planning is far above Casey's.

Curious what you thought he did that impressed you in that game? They lost in all facet of the game. Lebron was in cruise control and set the table for everyone. Irving/Love had efficient game and got theirs. Cavs bench came in and increased the play of the starters.

I think it will be miracle if Celtics win 1 game, but I did not see anything out of the ordinary in Celtics game plan.

Defensively I love the different sets and plays they run. LeBron was certainly in cruise control but regardless of that they did a great job of game planning for him. I think if LeBron was trying he'd be challenged to try and find ways to score. The problem is that the Celtics are pretty flawed as a roster. I don't think they have a big man that has a wingspan size that's more than 6'8, and although Smart and Bradley are a fantastic defensive backcourt, Bradley just doesn't have SG size, and it doesn't help Thomas is 5'9.

Overall I think they're overachieving on account of Brad Stevens being a great X's and O's kind of guys. Every time I watch them play I can never complain about their positioning and execution, it's really top notch. Their problems are the players themselves. Not having length is hurting them a lot.

Im interested to see how Casey responds to the criticism. To say this game is HUGE for him is an understatement.

hes gonna respond the same way he's responded all season… by employing the exact same **** come hell or high water strategy… at this point we can't expect casey to make better decisions and we just have to hope to god derozan gets bailed out 12 times a game again, and the team starts making jumpers… thats it really… I've lost all faith in caseys ability to make the right decisions strategically. just gotta hope guys like ross get hot and make open 3s, and lowry starts making his pull up 3s in transition… that sort of thing… basically we need to get super lucky.

Not sure if you guys watched the Casey interview after practice today but he talked about how during the Mavs championship run they only made very little adjustments "maybe one substitution" and still won a championship. He said he laughs when people say he needs to make adjustments. He also said he's not smart enough to make that many adjustments. So I fully do not expect anything to change, he said it himself.

Casey is really feeling the heat now, all he has to do in order for us to win is get JV more than 10 looks a game, keep his chuckers more accountable, keep demar going/get to line, start Aj, play JJ good mins, and some of our chuckers will eventually get hot.

This is our series to lose tbh, I don't know why we were so psyched about this game it almost felt like the guys were a bit nervous and were trying too hard to prove themselves, I got a lot of respect for Vasquez cuz he shows up.

Yeah, Dwane looked to be feeling the heat today from the media after practice. The media kept bringing up the 'Pierce at the 4' thing lol.

Return to Toronto Raptors
