I'd really love to know what Demars shooting % is in end of quarter ISO plays?

Slightly worse than the captains 10% probably.

Great win! I was getting a little anxiety in the 3rd...Excellent games from Lowry, CoJo, Patterson, Carroll, and DD (first half), etc. Lowry and DeMar still could take better shots, but at least the ball is moving more. We got the momentum now, and hopefully the intensity continues to carry over. Let's go Raptors!!

7-19 FGs ... -1 +/-, only negative as a starter and he played 36 minutes

Typical Derozan (#notmaxworthy)

Except for the 20 point lead he really helped to stake us to in the first half so we could go wire to wire. SMFH. Bother to watch the first half?

He helped us get a 20 point lead in the first half? So he was +20..then helped us lose a 20 point lead and was -21 in the second half?

Oh hush, KD went 7-33 the other night. It's the playoffs, defence is far more intense. Expect inefficiency. Playoffs are about winning, not stats.

Didn't OKC lose that game? Dallas is one of the worst teams in the playoffs. They're starting Felton, Zaza, Deron Williams, Matthews (who has regressed since he came back from injury). The fact that you need to fish out such a terrible game by a player to justify DD's performance is just sad. OKC lost to a horrible team. You're essentially saying it's ok for us to lose too. Not to mention, we need to talk about consistency. KD has been consistently elite throughout his career (but might have regressed a bit post-injury) while DD has been consistently poor to average.

I think you guys are going about it the wrong way. It's time to just call it as it is. DD's a solid, but flawed volume scorer who's unnecessarily taking on a lead role. He's not as bad as this series has shown us, but he's not as vital to the team either due to the added depth we have this year.

As for today's game, he had a solid 1st Q shooting wise, but the game isn't just about making shots. That's why we hear a lot less whining about Lowry. It's not because people hate DD and are Lowry fanboys..it's basically because Lowry adds other dimensions to the team to help us win. DD is much more one-dimensional and he's currently struggling at his one strength..maybe partially because the refs aren't giving him those easy calls and partially because PG's length is bothering him.

Fans react based on how a player plays. They like defense, hustle, good IQ, consistency. If one or more of those things aren't happening, you start getting complaints. If DD was playing well (even with a bad FG%), there wouldn't be so much commotion. Simple as that.

George is an excellent defender but Derozan needs to get his head out of his ass. The only Raptor will a negative +/-. Too many forced shots yet again.

+/- doesn't tell the whole story at all man. I've heard announcers all over the nba **** on that stat for good measure. It works better for hockey because so few goals are scored. In basketball that number can easily be skewed based on runs, which basketball is a game of.

Demar definitely could've played even better, but he was instrumental to this win tonite.

Ugh I was worried someone would say this. I completely agree, plus minus doesn't really give any kind of reliable evaluation. BUT when you are the only guy on your team in the negative and you won handily it raises an eyebrow. I watched the entire game and I would be really satisfied with his performance, just would like him to pass out of 6-7 of those VERY difficult jumpers.

Seriously, when he drove and got blocked Patterson was open on the side there. He could've passed it instead of taking that on 3 Pacers in the paint.

why you say that everyone else has played solid the last two games. Even Ross and I'm no fan of his game. Powell has looked good in limited action more so defensively.

Stop trying to play some storyline, team effort got us a team win. Take out DD and who knows what happens. He got us the momentum early to take a nice lead & I can care less about the rest. He had a great game compared to his other ones & he played the role of early scorer - no problem with that. Be thankful this team has so many options rather than nitpicking some BS, it was a TEAM effort and everyone played their part

DeMar was good tonight. Not great , but good. We needed him to score early and he got us going early, and while his shot tailed off later in the game he did make good passes, or passes that lead to passes that lead to open looks.
