Sheesh, I think I'd rather have Zhou Qi at this point.

I'm hoping someone good falls right out of the draft and Masai can sign them for the D League.

I think this is where I'm at right now (order might change a bit):

at 9: Bender/Chriss/Skal/Davis/Poeltl/Korkmaz/Sabonis/Luwawu
at 27: Korkmaz/Luwawu/Juan/Valentine/Maker/Zizic/Yabusele/Qi

If we somehow came away with Luwawu at 27 I'd probably have the opposite of a panic attack!

I find myself really interested in a lot of the international talent in this draft.

Bender/Korkmaz/Hernangomez/Luwawu being my favourites in that order.

If we can somehow come out of the draft with a combo of these players I'd be happy. I'm not sure Casey would though.

If you've got a guy that you are confident in its hard to trade down more than a pick or two to then watch someone else grab them. I'd only trade down as many picks as I am confident in players of very close relative anticipated success.

If I'm at 9 and I think sabonis, poeltl, korkmaz, maker are the 4 best prospects available then I trade down 4 spots and am guaranteed one of them.

If you think korkmaz is the next Klay Thompson but better or Thon maker will be a Kevin garnett type player, you take them and don't worry about adding another marginal asset

Maybe makers age is why he hid in canada instead of playing college bball. We didn't work him out so i doubt MU has any interest in him

on what info do these multiple sources base a guy like Thon not being his stated age? Personally I feel like this sort of thing is being put out intentionally just to help tank certain prospects' stock (similar rumors came out about Qi). If real info is there, then it should be made available to expose the player.

Still remember a few years ago around this time when we went through the Lamb craze... How things have changed. Oddly, I still think he has a chance. Maybe a late boomer like Larry Hughes

I would take #22 and Jeremy Lamb off their hands. Do we have a 7 million dollar trade exception lying around?

If this is true, then anyone who thought Ross' contract under this new salary cap would be a bargain or even fair value, may be in for a shock.

Didn't the raptors put out mus information or exaggerate medical results with Batum to tank his stock so they could potentially get him ( my memory is weak)
This could be Masai just trying to steal him at 27

If he's 4 years older though I'd still easily take him at 27.

Ainge's refusal to tip his hand essentially forces teams to deal with him if they want to be guaranteed to land their favorite player in the draft. It's brilliant.

The best offer they've received? The Sixers are willing to part with Jahlil Okafor for the No. 3 pick. While interested in Okafor, the Celtics want more.

Would look at trading 9th & Raptors 2017 1st. to Atlanta for 12th & 21st. Think Sabonis will go either 8th to SAC or be available @12th.

Seven hours left in the work day and then we can get to it already.

PS, here's a super interesting article on Thon Maker: https://theundefeated.com/features/vaulting-from-youtube-to-the-nba/

lol Ainge always over values his assets, its smart though because you either keep them or swindle a team. Okafor > #3 pick this year.

For sure. I was more meaning that if you believe Diamond Stone is the best player available, it's probably not ideal to reach at 9. Yet, I could see Masai doing so for some reason. I guess it's the probably the Bruno effect - which I understand is likely a one-off, but still plays in the back of my head. It's also interesting because I'm not even unhappy with the Bruno pick.

Ultimately I'll just be happy if we don't end up with Skal at 9. Almost everything else I can work with.

His skinny legs and lack of playing time obviously would be a bigger concern. However, he's an elite athlete for someone that size and has the handles to take other bigs off the dribble. Perhaps it's a nod and wink deal between our fearless leader the Masaiah and Thon's people to ensure he stays in Canada. Well played King Ujiri. Well played indeed.
