Great motor and rebounder (especially offensive rebs).

22 years old and seems mature and well spoken.

Nice stroke, seems like he could develop a decent shot.

That unexpected Derrick Murray sighting got me smiling ear to ear....nothing to worry about folks, he worked out with a raptor legend! Onions, baby onions

TL;DR: He plays like Biyombo lol

Yeah he's African and has a good motor. That's where the similarities end.

He can actually shoot, with the potential to shoot from 3. He seems to be able to create his own shot and has some decent skill around the basket. Seems faster and has better hops. Also completely different body type. But yeah, he's African.

Who cares where's from as long as he can play ????
Why everybody is focusing on his background ?
So because Masai is African he can't draft an AfricN player ???

So you just watched Masai, RC Buford, and the Warriors team pass on him, but think the decision was a no brainer?

At one point I thought Chriss and Siakam were pretty much similar players. So I see him as a substitute by missing out on Chriss by one.

If this guy played in a major conference he'd be a top 15 pick.

If Poeltl is like Val, and Siakam is like Biz, I'm gonna bet Siakam plays more minutes than Poeltl next season lol.

Steal of the draft IMO. Top-15 talent. Maybe top-10 in this draft. Draymond Green like defense and promising offensive game for someone who's basically had 2 years of serious coaching.

Sounds like a Mufasa pick.

I don't think the competition is that disparate between mid majors and bigger conferences, especially when it comes to big men. If you look at the front lines of the majority of programs in bigger conferences you'll see they're similarly replete with a bunch of bigs that won't sniff the league.

My point was that he's getting compared to Biyombo because he's African. You seem confused, and I'll leave it at that. Been banned too many times already.

That highlight package makes me feel a lot better about the draft. Looks pretty good. Great motor.

His numbers and combine measurements impressed me. Iengined them two days back. But does anyone know if he can shoot the damn ball?

I saw a Tristan Thompson comparison, which I like. He seems to have a decent jumper, too. Wasn't too familiar with his game before the draft, but he seems like a perfect Dwane Casey player. Versatile defender, tough, and competes on every possession.

Chriss looks like a twig though. I think Siakim has an NBA body right now. Not sure about the jumper though.

Looks really good. Excellent vision, footwork, range on his jump hook, and second jump.

Damn, watching this video, I'm impressed by his passing. It looks smooth,
His offense needs a lot of work. He relies heavily on banking in his shots which is quite interesting.
He really doesnt have a jumper to speak of though.

The move at 2:28 is my favorite from the video

Claimed in his workout that he could hit open shots. Judging by his form there's no reason to think he couldn't develop a set outside shot.

EDIT: Looking at one of the videos of him playing above, his form is inconsistent (and bad) at times. In the workout it looked much tighter and more consistent. He did also mention "shooting the same way every day" so I'd guess he has already switched to his ideal form (and it looks good) and he's working on repetition now.

I remember a ver favourable reaction to the entire draft last year.
