That's like common logic though, as a player you shouldn't need a coach to tell you to make a cross court pass to the weak side; to mitigate the defense overloading the strong side. It's the only way to get the defense to move, rotate and cause breakdowns; which we exploited tonight.
I don't think it's as simple as that. Crosscourt passes are always risky no matter what. Almost all players besides the Ball brothers were taught to never make them because of how low risk low reward they are. If you're making a crosscourt pass there's a lot of time for it to be intercepted because you're almost always throwing it overhead, which gives defenders plenty of time to close out on it even if they don't end up stealing it. It's not a play that yields a lot of reward.
However the way that we utilized it was just to stretch out the defense, nothing more than that, and it worked brilliantly.
Moving JV to the bench has made him a valuable bench scorer against the second unit as well.
His confidence is key for his play more so than most on the team, and he usually players harder on D too.
Jv coming off to contain monroe and norman starting may have won us the series. Let's see if kidd can counter those 2 moves

I just don't see what the Bucks can do to to win against this small lineup. If they ease on the traps now DeMar will pop off, if not we're gonna get the same easy shots. This series is over

Bucks:

https://www.khanacademy.org/humanities/ap-art-history/later-europe-and-americas/modernity-ap/a/rodin-the-burghers-of-calaisWe see six men covered only in simple layers of tattered sackcloth; their bodies appearing thin and malnourished with bones and joints clearly visible. Each man is a burgher, or city councilmen, of Calais, and each has their own stance and identifiable features. However, while they may stand together with a sense of familiarity, none of them are making eye contact with the men beside them. Some figures have their heads bowed or their faces obscured by raised hands, while others try to stand tall with their eyes gazing into the distance. They are drawn together not through physical or verbal contact, but by their slumped shoulders, bare feet, and an expression of utter anguish.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Burghers_of_CalaisEngland's Edward III, after a victory in the Battle of Crécy, laid siege to Calais, while Philip VI of France ordered the city to hold out at all costs. Philip failed to lift the siege, and starvation eventually forced the city to parley for surrender.
According to medieval writer Jean Froissart, Edward offered to spare the people of the city if six of its top leaders would surrender themselves to him, presumably to be executed. Edward demanded that they walk out wearing nooses around their necks, and carrying the keys to the city and castle. One of the wealthiest of the town leaders, Eustache de Saint Pierre, volunteered first, and five other burghers joined with him.[2] Saint Pierre led this envoy of volunteers to the city gates. It was this moment, and this poignant mix of defeat, heroic self-sacrifice, and willingness to face imminent death that Rodin captured in his sculpture, scaled somewhat larger than life.
Although the burghers expected to be executed, their lives were spared by the intervention of England's queen, Philippa of Hainault, who persuaded her husband to exercise mercy by claiming that their deaths would be a bad omen for her unborn child. (Her son, Thomas of Windsor, only lived for one year.)

What is with this board and overrating players. What's worse is you guys come out like Stephen a smith after his fist good game in s long while.
W/e makes you guys think you have control over personnel decisions I guess. All praises shud go to the backcourt.
Norm has played very well consistently for 2.5 games, not just one. And yes I may be overreacting but I never said I have control over personnel decisions and based on how he played lately I don't think you can disagree he has been our x-factor. Saying this doesn't mean I don't appreciate what Demar/Kyle did either. What I saw tonight seems pretty similar to early Draymond. Four year player. Great complimentary piece. Noone expected him to breakout like this in his 2nd season either.
Also do you see when I joined RealGM and my number of posts? I rarely post my own thoughts because I don't like the constant backlash that posts get. So thanks for putting me back into hibernation

Yeah, definitely. Obviously, it's not a pass to be made for the sake of making a pass. When the opportunity isn't their to hit an open teammate on the weak side, you take advantage of it. LeBron does it all the time, it's a risky pass when it's lobbed over the defense and in the air too long.

Kidd didn't adjust from Game 4.
He adjusted by playing Monroe less. That's all. His only other perimeter option is Jason Terry but he's too old and slow to guard Norm. Maybe he'll try putting Delly in the starting lineup, but they are pretty thin at guard. Demar would overpower Brogden if they tried that. Not sure what his options are from here.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….
