I would love any deal with the warriors, they have the more appealing assets than most other teams.

Re: Raptors Trade Deadline Rumours & Discussion Thread
Just speculation on my part, but ever since hearing CJ’s remarks about one of the Raptors, being unhappy, I really do think Fred is gone.
I listened to what CJ said, and the fact that he said he can’t say too much because he doesn’t want to tamper tells me that it’s not speculation on his part. Rather, he had a direct conversation with the player on the Raptors who told him he’s gone.
I think the player he most likely is talking about is either Fred or OG.
On the one hand, OG wanted a bigger role, and could be unhappy. However, OG and Scottie have become really good friends.
I think it’s Fred because first of all he’s pretty buddy-buddy with a lot of veterans around the league.
Also, Fred has openly spoken about being unhappy with his role on the team which is what CJ cites as the reason this player is unhappy.
Finally, we all know Fred wants to be paid a lot of money and he and Masai might not be on the same page.

What about Chris Duarte for Malachi Flynn and Juancho Hernangomez?
PG FVV - Barnes - Dowtin
SG OG - Trent - Banton
SF Siakam - OG - Duarte
PF Barnes - Thaddeus
C Precious - Koloko/Boucher
Seems like he would be a piece involved in a trade for John Collins. I would do this though

Having no idea how the Pacers value Duarte and if the value is close;
I would do this 100%.
Pacers already have a glut of guards. They are looking for a wing/PF is seems. Flynn does nothing for them.

Obviously made by a Raptors fan but interesting foundation of a trade.

NO has no reason to do that trade.
Yeah we can't expect they're young guys and good picks, the structure that probably makes the most sense is:
TOR trades: FVV+Juancho
NOP trades: Dyson+Devonte+Kira Lewis
The rest of the year we hand ball handling duties to Dyson, Scottie, and Pascal. Devonte gets more of an opportunity to see if he can crack the starting line-up, but probably is the first guard off the bench (assuming GTJ is also traded at some point). Kira probably battles it out with Malachi to see who stay with the team longer term
FVV then gets added to the core of Zion, Ingram, CJ and would probably be the most overqualified 4th option in the league. Provide them a ball handler that has playoff experience, and has shown can handle heavy minutes. Will be really important considering they will likely have a tight 8 man rotation come the playoffs.
You can probably swap out FVV with OG, but then I can see Trey Murphy and some of the Laker picks being involved since OG is on a longer team friendly deal and younger.

Never heard this - what day was it?
Also, assuming it’s CJ McCollum you’re talking about, isn’t the obvious answer GTJ - his former teammate?

Could be GTJ also. He did play with CJ in Portland. Who knows how close they were, and if GTJ was fine with CJ making his displeasure public.

It would be pretty funny if the person CJ was talking about was Thad Young. He wasn’t happy about his playing time at one point.

I don't disagree.
Not even sure what the value would be around a guy like Duarte, but if its close there is likely a third team with a body that goes to the Pacers for the two guys in the Raps package. Its such a nuts and bolts trade it would be easy to accomidate a third team if the value was there.

there are a few suspects:
FVV - they want him relegated to primarily a catch and shoot, distributor, and not a scorer....FVV mindset is naturally to score.
there is some tension in terms of role compatibility with Barnes, OG and GTJ
GTJ - he wants a bigger role and contract
OG - wants a bigger scoring role

That trade is so lopsided in our favour it's laughable. They're giving up a 1st on top of it? Cmon...
Their team is loaded. They likely make a fringe move and that's it for this year and just do their best in playoffs.
I can really see them making a move this year, they have a legitimate chance for a chip this year if they add some playoff tested dudes on their roster.
Right now their top 9 looks like:
CJ
Zion
Ingram
Murphy
Jones
JV
Marshall
Nance
Alvarado
FVV or OG would probably leap frog most of those dudes and earn more minutes. They're playing a lot of guys right now, but come the playoffs I can't see them playing this many. I can see a consolidation move for them to cement at least the 2nd round, maybe even a conference finals if things go right for them. They are just missing playoff tested guys on the team right now.
I also don't think it's realistic for them to add 11 rookies to this team in the next 5 years (only counting FRPs). It just doesn't make sense, they will need to consolidate and I don't see Griffin being okay with seeing it play out if the contention window seems to be opening up as the team starts to get all healthy and get on a roll.
They are quickly becoming my west coast team, I just hope they improve the team since right now I think it's going to be tough to get past the Nuggets, Grizzlies or Warriors without getting some reinforcements IMO.

Again all my take but I think what CJ said was a big deal.

See this isn't enough for me. As I said earlier, I'm not high on Daniels but even if I was, Devonte should require an asset attached just to move him. Then we have to get value back for Vanvleet so for me, this isn't enough.
I more like FVV and Boucher to the Bulls for Ball, White, Williams and POR 2023 1st. The Bulls need a lead guard and already have secondary play makers in DeRozan and Lavine. We get two prospects who are still quite young (21 & 22), plus a first to pick up someone later in the draft. Ball is also 25, relatively cheap and quite good when healthy. Not to mention FVV is from Illinois, has played with DeRozan before and the Bulls need size.

CJ is the NBAPA pres so he's well-connected. Could be lots of players, and usually when a team is losing there will be several unhappy campers that want to go somewhere else.

The Anunoby to Suns deal is pretty close. They'd have to send Cam Johnson as well though and probably drop one of the firsts but I think that's right around what we could expect. The Siakam to Phoenix deal isn't horrible as well either from a value perspective but I'm not super high on Ayton.

The suns for OG is reasonable. 3 1st round picks and a swap is fair value, how many more picks would you expect?
