IMO I can't see Jase dropping that far. I think he'll at least be an early 20s pick.

I understand the issues Rucker posed. If he was taller, it would be easier to buy the hype. He's gotta add some playmaking to his game.

With their 1.8% odds, if they win, it will just be more evidence that the lottery is rigged.

League cannot reward them for their own **** up. Ill be so pissed if they do.

Lot of guys start choking when the lights get big because they’re not used to pressure

Exactly why Queen or Fears are at the top of my board.

Honestly I could live with it, it's the f*cking Sixers winning it that would completely piss me off, the most undeserving clowns in the league.

All that being said the league would be smart to help improve their ratings in the East by ensuring Flagg ends up in the East and man do I ever wish it were here. Sad we don't even so much as day dream about it considering we have solid odds...but ofc we know it's because almost the whole damn league hates us but stilllll....

For there aspirations they need someone with more years under their belt that can win now. No rookie guard is going to add to winning unless they're Chris Paul

For now, sure. But its also a long term need. Im not a fan of Jak, but he or Fears would be great fits for them

I go back and forth on micro things with him, but Queen is my favorite at this point outside of landing the top three.

I have just been listening to a lot of pods about how important processing is, and I think Queen is special at his size. He makes quick decisions and decisive attacks that will make it an easier transition for him.

He is also just naturally strong and has almost unteachable footwork with his live dribbl spin moves. Very Siakam-like.

He will be a question mark on the outside shot, and a little goofy as a personality, but he is just a star player. There is something about him that screams winner.

Queen's career can end up somewhere between a Zach Randolph to Naz Reid type; occasional All-Star to at minimum very productive role player. Not a bad pick if we end up around 7-9.

He may not be a rim protector but he's shown as a freshman that he can be solid on that end

9th in defensive win shares (2.8)

13th in defensive rating (92.4)

I'm all in on Derik Queen if we're not in the top 3. I'd take him ahead of VJ.

I think of Queen as a PF. He is never going to be a rim protector, but he can move decently for his weight and size and has great hands for deflections. I think if he works hard he could be a lot like Pascal Siakam. He is my best outcome for him. The handle, the energy on the boards, and multi-faceted playmaking and self-creation really remind me loosely of Siakam coming into the league. Keep in mind Queen was playing in a much tougher conference than Siakam did.

So 6-9; Age: 22 Pascal Siakam New Mexico St.
BPM 8.3
OBPM 5.2
DBPM 3.1
USG 28.0
EFG 54.0
TS 56.9

DR 23.5
AST 11.2
TO 12.6
BLK 6.4
STL 1.7
FTR 40.3
Dunks 31-32
At the rim 74%

Fr 6-10; Age: 20 Derik Queen Maryland
BPM 7.9
OBPM 4.2
DBPM 3.7
USG 26.9
EFG 53.5
TS 59.1
OR 9.0
DR 24.5
AST 11.6
TO 16.5
BLK 3.8
STL 2.0
FTR 54.6
Dunks 39-43
At the rim 68%

Yeah I see Queen a lot as a bigger but slower Siakam. I think if he can slim down he will be a star.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

For me i dislike the Randolph comparasin & Naz Reid because both play diff styles to Queen....Naz Reid is alot slimmer with not much post moves or iso moves....More of a 3 pt shooter as well....Randolph while an ok comp for the offensive moves difference is i think Queen is the much better passer/ball handler than Randolph was....

Id say He is more in that Sengun/Sabonis/Joker play style (Obv might not be as good as some on that list) but the style of play is that....I would not be shocked if Queen has sim numbers to Sengun on his 2nd/3rd year in the NBA....So to me thats worth the pick if available.

Atm i don't see Queen being available around 7/8th since i see him going 5 or 6th....But if he somehow slides down because other players jump up during workouts....If Queen is Available and we pass on him for some raw player i will be pretty upset....Especially if we pass on him and the player we draft is very underwhelming while Queen looks like a star....But i think Masai is targeting Queen anyways so im not too worried about that happening.

Tough to make these kinds of determinations before workouts as there's gonna be some draft risers. When measurements come out and guys have the open gym shooting, i wouldnt be surprised to see guys like Carter Bryant or Noa shoot up the draft boards

I could see them players jump up to the 10-13 range....Top 7/8 i don't see it....Too high.....Draft is too deep with talent imo for them 2 guys to jump up into the top parts of the draft...Lottery cool...But players like Queen/Tre Johnson/Fears Have too much upside and talent to fall in the draft....If they do if im Masai im happy as could be....Because the more players fall to us the better...But the talent is just too much to pass up imo with some of the guys slotted in the top parts of this draft.

Noa and Bryant i see going anywhere 10-17th area of this draft.

Makes sense why Masai went to scout Queen 3 times (that we know of)

I think more and more he should be in the convo for top 5. i don't think he will be there at 7/8. Hoping he can get in even better shape just like Banchero did after finishing at Duke

But the skillset is all there and I think having a big that can quarterback plays will be nice for Darko

I have a feeling we’ll have to choose between Tre/Mal/Carter at 7. Will be tough.

I can easily see Bryant impressing in the shooting workouts, and, with his athleticism/height/length, catching a team like Philly's eye. Not that long ago we saw Bilal Coulialby rise from being mocked mid teens to being drafted top 7. Workouts, measurements and interviews can determine a lot
