No speak for yourself… it was obvious to me that Rj and Ingram could play together, especially since Rj can shoot the 3. Barnes on the other hand I knew was gonna struggle as an off ball guy

We have a player in CMB

The Kings' defense is terrifying. We are getting good shots against their rotation players, not only we are up, the process is good, and guys are making their open shots.

I don't think we were bad against Denver, their offense was just too good in the first half when their main guys were still playing. I checked mid way through the game and they were shooting like 70ish%. Nuts.

Cmb is a better draymond than Barnes. Trade Barnes for as much value as you can get. Get some 3 and d guys, actual proven guys and trade dick for a future first rounder

The pressure is on Scottie to play winning basketball. I

It’s weird how Rj is a decent 3 point shooter but horrible ft shooter

Both of them operate in his zone. Lower left is RJ, upper right is BI. Dude's exiled to the dunker.

RJ and BI are still questionable defenders, you need guys like Barnes and CMB to balance that out.

Let the season play out and by trade deadline, we'll have a lot more answers

He was literally an All-Star in Year 3.

I get we're in the "F*ck Scottie" era since he's on a max and he went 0/6 ina preseason game but the way some of you talk about Barnes is just ridiculous. He has his flaws, especially when it comes to scoring but to pretend he's the same player he was in Year 1 suggest you either don't know ball, don't watch Raptors games or both.

He’s not really a useful player when the ball isn’t in his hands. He’s a good initiator, but not a good scorer. It’s hard to figure out how he fits offensively if he can’t make an open shot or roll to the bucket and score off the catch.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

That’s on him. We tried making Scottie a go to guy and he has no skills. Average handle, no first step, awkward finisher with bad footwork in the paint, no shot. What is he supposed to do offensively with this team? Lmao

he shot 72 for his career as a knick, which is solid, but he struggled from 3...now his 3 ball is looking better, but struggling from the line somehow...i mean even 70 from the line is good enough

A positive sign early on is that they aren’t turning the ball over in the first 6 games of the preseason at the rate they were last year. Of course the Nuggets and Kings aren’t really teams that force turnovers but still nice to see.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Basically a more refined version of what CMB is doing but with a mix of midrange shots and superb passes to the open man.

If he doesn't have his contract or draft pedigree, are we thinking this hard on how to fit him into the offense in a big role or just leaving him with the scraps and having him focus on D?

I can envision sandro and CMB with Barrett, BI, and IQ.

Leaving Scottie to run point with Jak and a bench mob trio. Maybe Walter, Dick, and Agbaji. Room for Battle defending on opponent

Seeing him in preseason...yeah I can buy that for sure.

Boyles looks much better than Barnes defensively.

Let's not get crazy. I like Boyles defense so far and he's been the best defender this preseason but I need a much wider sample size (and more importantly against a wider array of players) to support a claim like that.
