I'm both impressed and concerned about Drummond. While he displays some unique skills, he looks like a big man who thinks he's a small forward. I hope his year at UCon will help him defensively, because if he is not grabbing boards and defending with that athletic ability he better be dropping 50 ppg on good-great efficiency.

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread
McAdoo looks good too. My only concern about him is he seems to be a tweener. I hope he is a SF but which Barnes and Henson at UNC with him, I'm not quite sure how the minutes will work out.
I don't see the hype over Anthony Davis though. In terms of PF skills, I think Jared Sullinger looks much better and polished than him. Only thing is Davis has the better athleticism.

I don't see it either but I haven't really watch Davis play so I can't speak on it. From my perspective it seems like Davis is the Chris Bosh type and Sullinger is the Carlos Boozer type.

Here's a new Andre Drummond mix.
Wow he is a special prospect. Once a decade athleticism/co-ordination/size combination along with a nice touch around the hoop and can throw a highlight pass too. The 2012 draft is ridiculously strong and thank god we're gonna suck when/if the NBA returns.
That was incredible. I don't care if this guy forces his way to PF because he likes offense and playing face-up, he has future superstar written all over him. He'd be a GREAT fit with Valanciunas too. Val would be the complimentary rebound/dirty work/likes defense Varejao like player beside him.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Wow
I hope we get another pick in this draft....if we luck out with Drummond, it'd be nice to put Gilchrist beside him. Or if Quincy miraculously drops, I'd be a pipedream to get both Drummond and Miller. Maybe he has a bit of a down season or his past injury scares off teams or something though I highly doubt it. He's the only SF in the lottery than can create for himself so if we don't draft Drummond, my next choice has got to be Miller.

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread
A team can have only so many good players. I think we have enough talent on our roster.
PG - Bayless -->Seems like a 15 points, 4 rebound, 6 assists guard.
SG - Derozan -->Will average around 20-25 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists in for the next 7-8 years at least.
SF - Johnson -->Will average around 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and a do it all player.
PF - Davis -->Will average around 13-15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks for a long time.
C - Jonas -->Looks like a 15 point, 10 rebound, 2 block player. He will come over next year.
Plus we have guys like Bargnani, Calderon, Barbosa, A. Johnson, Kleiza off the bench.
Bargnani and Barbosa can give you 15-20 points on any given night.
Point being we don't need more scoring. A team needs role players as well, otherwise Derozan, Davis and Val will not get the shots they will need. Bayless and Johnson will be good enough role players.

He's committed to Arizona, but this is the first I'm seeing him as well. I have no idea where he's projected to go, but judging from his game he'd seem like a top-10 pick.
The comment section on the Youtube video from Ballislife says:
"Check out arguably the most exciting player in the 2012 class, 6'2" Gabe York of the Compton Magic (Orange Lutheran High School). The Arizona commit has a fearless mentality and has made a name for himself by dunking on defenders of all sizes. Apart from his ability to finish at the rim Gabe can shoot the lights out from anywhere on the floor, and an improving passer."

Funny he's going to Arizona. Why do you want another Jerryd Bayless?

I had the same comparison to JB but I doubt he becomes the same player because of his smooth jumper. JB always had a nice shot, but not one you could really depend on.

Gabe York seriously looks like Bayless 2.0...except Jerryd might have slightly better hops.
So therefore no point.
Still.....#1 Drummond, #2 Miller

Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread
Seeing as how he's graduating high school in 2012 he won't be in the 2012 draft conversation. The Bayless comparison is fair to the untrained eye, but I see more of a Russell Westbrook with a jumpshot or even a Monta Ellis.

So...as for James McAdoo...can we say that he looks like Josh Smith with better shooting?

Same here, first time watching him I hated his cocky attitude and hated his jumper., but the more I watch the more I find his jumpers unorthodox yet smooth tho.., and his swag kept making me envision him as the melo type., like a big offensive juggernaut type.,.he's prolly on my 2nd most dying to watch in college list (first being drummond and third being HB)
