Mea culpa on Valanciunas. I misunderstood Casey yesterday. Still in the boot.

Ugh..

^^^^ I would assume this means the team is seeking a second opinion on what the hell happened in his calf before they start treatment and want to keep it protected until they do. Hopefully the news remains good once some over medics get a look at it.

This is worrisome , he's already dealing with a previous ankle and now a calf injury. I hope this is not a pattern and it heals fast...otherwise im starting to worry he may be injury prone.

He has had a remarkably injury free playing career so far in spite of playing a huge number of minutes the last few years playing 70+ club games each season and two tournaments each summer. There is always the fear though that when one thing goes and your body starts over-compensating for that injury that you then overload other areas of your body and it becomes a vicious circle. Hopefully the raptors just rest him for the next couple of weeks.

If you are a Raptors fan and are young enough to not know what a "hoffa" is, just let it go. That is my advice to you young man. There is nothing to be gained and only your innocence to be lost by knowledge of such ugliness.

Please no more, I can't bear with the physical and mental pain he gave us in all those pathetic years.

Is it just his relation to Iggy that makes Hoffa so hated? Why don't people refer and cringe about Radojevic this way? I'd like Maggette or Artest over a guy with like 8min of NBA time, but he never takes it on the chin with any kind of regularity the way Hoffa does. We even ended up with a serviceable player for Hoffa, unlike Radojevic.

I guess 'cause it was a bad pick that was known as a bad pick by everyone except our GM from the instant it was made, but it's pretty amazing how long we can hold a grudge (I'm including myself 'cause his name still pisses me off too). :D

And Zeno's right, I know we're not letting you let it go, but if you honestly don't know who Hoffa is, don't go looking, there's only pain and suffering to be had.

The boot is off, receiving treatment 3 times a day and while they're not going to rush him back they have no concerns over the injury being an long term issue and don't anticipate him missing any significant time.

So much confusion!

Is it an ankle problem? Is it a calf problem? He's in and out of the boot? WTF is going on? Are we just becoming too sensitive to minuscule day-to-day details?

I hope all is well within a month.

Just heard on @StackMack that hes having his leg amputated and will have to play his first season in a wheel chair.

Discuss how long it takes him to take the starting spot from Gray.

The basketball gods giveth and taketh away. How great would it be to have a full season with a healthy team?

Kevin Nielsen ‏@KNielsenSN

BC on Valanciunas: He’s already in just two or three days here made great progress in terms of this strain.

Any mention of what kind of progress they're talking about? Progress as in healing? or progress as in learning plays and stuff?

Its good to hear about his progress and also good to hear Ed mentioning bargs likes playing with him from the open gym they had. This is going to be some awesome chemistry between the two on the floor.
