He doesn't want his girlfriend seen with black guys because it makes him look bad. As in his buddies will think that his girlfriend is sleeping with every black guy around and is only pretending to be his girlfriend, which is probably the case and he knows it, he just doesn't want evidence out there for people to see. If that isn't about being consumed with how your peers see you I don't know what is.

He's just worried about his girlfriend embarassing him by flaunting her social life around. Here's a question....Sterling is the owner of a basketball team in LA. If he's going to get angry about something, don't you think it should be that his girlfriend was posing with a Laker? Did he even mention that? That should tell you where his priorities are.

I fully agree. I'm just taking into account that he's 81 frickin years old (have you spent any time around people in their 80s?) and we already knew he was a racist. All I'm saying is that it seemed like he was coming from an insecure, paranoid and overall irrational place, not so much a real hateful place. I guess I was expecting more hate from him and the whole angle with the girl on top of it, I just felt more dirty about the whole thing, rather than seeing it as the epitome of racism.

He said that the only thing he asked of her was not to advertise herself with black people, "she could sleep with them" but not advertise it. Which sounds to me like something she agreed to(which means shes probably well aware of how racist he is).
