I am not sure about Boogie but Raps is going to land a SF , a PF or both.

KL/GV
DD/Lou
???/JJ/Bruno
PP/???/Bebe
JV/Steimsma/Hayes

TRoss and Amir Johnson are definitely moved by trade deadline.

Amir not going anywhere.
Without him our D just doesn't exist at all
Ross will be traded only if Ujiri gets offer for him he can't refuse
Still chances are we do opthing

LOL what? DMC is a superstar, he could end up being the best player in the league. If you know anything about the NBA it's quality > quantity, You have two superstars with a great bench and you still have next years pick. Between Lowry, Ross, Vasquez, and Lou Williams the backcourt is set. Then you have expirings like Fields, Hayes, and Hansbrough that can be used along with the 2016 pick (since we're trying to win now) to pick up some players to play in the frontcourt.

Cousins/Thompson
Patterson/Hansbrough
Johnson/Fields
Ross/Lou
Lowry/Vasquez

Bad but that not the point
The point is throwing out these completely out of space trade ideas..completely joke and unrealistic.
Let me put this in capital letters for everyone to contemplate upon

MASAI WILL NOT TRADE FOR ANY CONTRACT THAT GOES BEYOND SUMMER 2016

Please read again,,think about it,,read again,.
Now post your trade scenarios please

If you need explanation check what Raps coaching staff went with on the record

(Only exceptions is if Masai pulls rabbit out of his hat And land real all -star/franchise type of player )

We're landing a franchise player in this (completely unrealistic) scenario.

Hayward is better than DeMar

This is why we can't have nice things no one appreciates Demar. Hayward is better than Demar? get the **** outta here with that nonsense. Hayward could do NONE of the things Demar did last year in the playoffs the man plays well for a bit and he's better than Demar? I understand now why no one wants to stay on this team.

Stop trying to take things to extremes. Nobody wants to stay on this team (?) because fans at RealGM Raptors forum are not homers like you? Do you realize how idiotic that sounds?

If there is any truth to these rumors then I wonder how it will affect JV's state of mind in terms of being an integral part of the team. Usually when players hear their names being thrown around in trade rumors they tend to become disenchanted with their team.

On top of that the coach doesn't have much confidence in him at the moment so I'm guessing he's probably not feeling too good right now.

Harden trade: Why BC backed off but Massai...

Post#245 » by north-of-border » Wed Feb 18, 2015 6:44 am

The best chance at landing true superstar since VC and to a lesser extent Chris Bosh was James Harden.

Reportedly, OKC really liked Valanciunas and Derozan. There were several rumored trades involving these guys for Harden. One that comes to mind is Valanciunas and a 1sr rounder for Harden.

BC would not give up on Valanciunas. But not Massai is reportedly making him available for a true star type player. Would the Raps make the deal today?..... Hell yeh!

Problem was Harden was not an established superstar. He only has potential to be one..... Just like Valanciunas.

Never the less. Missed oppotunity.

In the Weak East yeh.... But with regular Western Conference competition Raps would be fighting just to get into the playoffs.

Harden would have been the first building block towards becoming a Title contender year in and year out.

100% rubbish. Would Raptors like to get star player? Yes. Trading JV? No. These rumors come from bs reporters and other team workers. Raptors don't want trade Ross. Why would they trade Jonas? Team workers outside Raptors working for other teams think the Raptors are not fans of Jonas. This is just because teams want him. Raptors is happy with JV. One concern I heard they have is his lack of age. With Lowry and other guys on team entering peak stages they would like to get pieces that can help now but that's only small problem. Not big concern.

if the star is big enough then for sure they would trade jv. if boogie trade were to ever happen, you give up jv. simple as that.

That's a great starting five. Cousins is two tiers better than Val and it gives us a better, more efficient first option. Then if you can get Dragic you found a better replacement for DeRozan. He's a better passer, ball handler, and shooter than DeRozan...

So he should wait around for a maybe type of thing and not strike when a team is ripe for a fire sale? We should let other teams just steal the good assets right?

Because the coaching staff is the same thing as the GM? Masai is on the hot seat, he went on record with that too. If you have a (really appropriate word in this case) like Casey in the FO and in control of the rotation. Your team is in fairly deep trouble.

Cousins has a PER of 25 while shooting a TS% of 55. Then he posts 26/13 per 36 at just 24 years old. He could be our franchise player for the next ten years and I'm almost inclined to say that he would win at least one championship if he was around a good cast of role players. If you don't think he would improve this team you are over valuing Val and the rest of the players on this team. We haven't had anyone as good as Cousins and Lowry since the VC days.
