Today, I'd say Prichard. I'm a big fan of his game.

Austin Rivers dribbles too much without getting anywhere. This guy's game is a lot more efficient.

Honestly, I'll get a lot of flack for saying this but based on the highlights I've seen, the guy really reminds me of Steph Curry. Obviously, he'll most likely not be the shooter Curry is (although his form kinda reminds me of Steph's) but the way he plays the pick and roll, keeps his head up when dribbling, keeps his hand up to protect the ball, stops and go's, hesi's, steps back all remind me of Steph. Heck, he even looks like him from far away with the same slight build and goatee.

I haven't kept up with this years prospects so I had no idea who he was but after watching some highlights I'm excited to see this guy play.

I'm with you. I thought the same. I'd add his layups to that list. Obviously, folks, this is from highlights. But whatever.

I like Prichard too and he actually reminds me of FVV offensively. Defensively though he looks really slow and I think he'll be a liability on that end.

After watching highlights of Flynn (never heard of him coming into the draft) I think Flynn will be the better all around player on both ends.

I try to hold back from giving my opinion on players until I see them play a few games in the NBA or atleast the G League. Sure they won’t be a finished product but I usually get an idea of where they are and for all we know a guy like Flynn turns out to be better than Ball. The talent in this draft is so close that anybody could have found a steal.

The Raptors do an amazing job of developing players' corner 3. I fully expect Flynn to develop into an elite shooter under the Raptors' development plan.

The corner 3 is super easy. I’m surprised its his lowest percentage shot.

Yeah, but I see this as a good thing. Lots of guys in the NBA can hit the corner three at a high clip - we have two of the better players at this in OG and Norm. It's rarer and more valuable to have a guy who can hit it off the dribble from the top.

This probably also suggests that at San Diego State he had to be the facilitator all the time. He should get more opportunities at the easier corner shot with the Raptors, where he won't need to initiate the offence every trip down the court.

Only a few minutes into that highlight pack... Kid has some serious game. Super tight handles, extremely shifty, creative finisher, creative passed, great shooting form.

I'm excited!

This is a great video showing how mature Malachi is as a person and as a basketball mind. He is going to be able to step into our rotation from day one with the concepts that directly apply to our system that he has already figured out.

Flynn is a steal. I think this guy is going to be better than Fred.

Stop watching highlights and find full games. This guy knows how to score the ball in many ways. He’s like Kemba and I’m not talking similarity in their game. I’m talking once he gets into the paint you’re f...ed! He has a consistent floater and he knows how to weasel his way in tight spaces to get to the basket once he’s in the paint. He can shoot the ball, he’s a good passer and he defends his position well.

This guy has a high Basketball IQ. Highlights don’t do his game enough justice!

Even the shots he misses are usually good shots.

I know nothing about him and saw very little of the NCAA season, but I like drafting PGs late in the first round, because they tend to be more well-rounded than any other position and tend to bring at least one NBA ready skill upon being drafted. And I don't think his size is even an issue at all.

Flynn is waay more polished offensively than Fred was coming into the draft. It's amazing the Raptors were ale to develop FVV into a 17 PPG scorer

Just when I thought we will rid ourselves of the two midget lineup....looks like we doubling down with the three midget lineup :banghead:

On the bright side he has a floater so we won't see him get the patented FVV stuff at the rim as much.

Really only his size and average athleticism is his weakness from the looks of it. Seems to be NBA ready with good range, handle, vision, touch, toughness etc...

I think Tre Jones was the better PG prospect and Desmond Bane is a great shooter that could've played some SF for us. Daniel Oturu also could've addressed our need at backup C coming into the offseason. Overall I'm a little disappointed with the pick but Flynn has been attached to the Raptors for some time now and if there's one thing I've learned over the years it's to trust the Raptors management.

surprised the Raptors haven't hired you for a management position with quality talent assessments like the one above. maybe you should fax them your resume

The fact that he already has a legit floater in his game makes him far ahead of fred
