Lowry is legit the only above average player on this team.

Or the Raptors tank and actually get a young promising piece to build towards the future. Even more beneficial as the team isn't even playing before fans or at home so it's not like they're at the arena watching the team rack up the Ls.

It wasn't enjoyable when they were swept by Washington, either. Should they have blown the team up after that?

What if we had replaced Casey then? We can't replay what happened in the past.
Our current squad is lacking in talent. What else can we do at this point but rebuild.

The current squad has about the same talent level as the squad Ujiri took over back in 2013-2014. Did he tank to build a rebuild? There are multiple ways to build your asset base to a level of a contender. The Raptors spent the greater part of this last decade proving this but for some reason tank nation has struggled to absorb what they saw unfold before them.

There is no such thing as intentional losing. Players don't purposely lose, nor to coaches.

Its up to management to set a direction for the team, if the Raptors lose the majority of there games is that loser mentality or just lack of talent?

Couldn't agree more. If anything, the team will be playing their butts off because they are largely unproven guys trying to make their mark. If they overachieve that's perfectly fine. Even the process Sixers weren't intentionally trying to lose (they started 3-0 one year), their roster just got totally razed to the ground. The Raptors (and no rebuild really) has to ever go that far. One step backwards to take multiple steps forward.

I agree, Raptors start 0-3, but will turn it around.

MLSE sent the memo out to the commentators - blame the refs for the horrible play and ignore that the time sucks

My biggest fear is that we finish 10th and get into the playoffs via the play in games. That would be a disaster

Huge return by Siakam for the tank. Dude has quit on the team.

Man, if we trade Lowry, Raps are legit gonna be a bottom 5 team. WTF would we even do without him?

I'm afraid Siakam's minutes be diminished because of his play - he can't make it too obvious

This team is honestly just bad. Siakam is looking like a disaster of a player at the moment, the kind of albatross that destroys franchises. Once they trade Lowry, they are in the running for worst team in the league.

Here is the reality. This team lost 2 starters, lost home court advantage and have to deal with relocating their family. Thats a lot of bad things going against the Raptors. As bad as they have looked right now, and its very very bad. They have been competitive in all their games.

Taking a look at the big picture, if this losing trend continues and the team is 5 or 10 games below .500 heading into Allstar break, there should be serious considerations to explore trading Lowry, Norm and Baynes because they are expiring and perhaps even explore moving Siakam in the right deal.

Taking a look at the past 10 seasons, how many championship teams remained competitive after losing its superstars or main pieces? Mavs lost Chandler, Kidd, and Barea in 2012 and remained a playoff team but soon fell out of the playoff picture after 3 seasons. The Heat lost LeBron and immediately became a lottery team. Warriors lost Durant and now they look like a completely different team albeit they are without Klay as well.

It takes a lot of assets to assemble a championship team and if a team loses major pieces in consecutive seasons, sooner or later, its going to catchup and the team will start to trend downwards. Thats the reality the raptors are facing right now.

It’s time. We will likely be at least 6 games under once the road trip is over and that’s if we are lucky.

Anybody watching this Raptors team can see what this group is.
