Barnes is already scoring more than Ben ever has.

But the question is not Barnes vs Simmons. It is the 4th pick as Suggs vs Simmons as a hypothetical.
would you rather have
Suggs 28.6 FG% 21.4 3P% with greenlight|current FVV|current OG| or
a NBA finals contender starting 5 current FVV|current OG|Simmons|Siakam|Stretch 5
I don't think that starting five is a finals contender, your point is being lost cause I don't think many people agree that Simmons alone would push us to the finals.

It is not Simmons alone, it is about the fit with FVV|current OG|current Siakam|Stretch 5 + Simmons which Barnes is giving us a taste of. But this was a hypothetical for the humbled Suggs Crowd.

If you think the current best perimeter playerDEFENDER in the league(2nd in DPOY/triple double threat) able to cover 1-through-4/5 would not help us dramatically/put us in contention then I do not think you fully understand Scottie's impact right now.
Anyway, ultimately the league belongs to players like Scottie and Ben Simmons: I am just glad we have one of them.

We can acquire a near max contract with Dragic and Trent, or super max by adding Boucher.

the big key - all those other players are centers or big 4's.

scottie is the only wing player.

If the league belonged to someone like Simmons he'd be playing right now. The league belongs to superstars who can take over in the playoffs bruv.

I would recommend you watch the Sixers game, they need him back ASAP.

meh. they literally lost Simmons without any replacement whatsoever (they literally don't have even one actual point guard on the roster at the moment) and they're still 3-2, with the 3rd best offensive rating in the league.

Watch the games. You should have watched the game against New York (and BKN). They need him back ASAP. They were the first seed in the Eastern conference with him.

They're playing without any PG at all. No surprise that they're not quite as good. Kind of hilarious that they're actually better offensively without him tho.

Current best perimeter player in the league who couldn't beat a novice Hawks team while playing with an MVP calibre big?

Proof is in the pudding. Simmons is a fake all-star. Last time any of our core played with an MVP caliber player they won a championship.

They were 35-7 in the regular season with Simmons and Embiid I believe.

Is it possible to have a thread that doesn't get hijacked with Simmons talk? Come on, Scottie is the most exciting player to come the Raptors way in a long time. This is his thread. Stop worrying about other players.

This is funny because it's the complete opposite. Good process, bad results.
