I thought this thread was just to post and react to trade rumours and proposals by well-known guys and gals or media outlets. We have a generic trade thread for the usual self-generated content.

Secondly, as much as I want Nurkic, the Blazers and the Raps are just under the tax right now. There's no point to proposing trades that put one or the other team back in the tax. Trades between the teams MUST be salary neutral.

I don't know if Masai would trade with Frank but it looks like the clippers are looking for a bench guard. Having $19.5m in salary coming off their books at the end of the season would also do wonders for their tax situation.

Raptors need to trade Dragic and get 1 or 2 pieces to bolster this bench. Its been disappointing. Aside from Boucher, the rest have been bad. Sometimes Masai swings and misses, Flynn is another missed Pick. At least we knew Bruno was a project.

I’m giving him a pass because of scouting conditions due to COVID.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Its the same reason why we're linked to centers. The click baiters research each market for each team and get a sense of what fans are asking for. Then they post "rumors" that cater to those demands to get the clicks.

I could be wrong but i doubt we have inquired about ANY center. Lots of ppl on raptor twitter have talked about centers so thats what we get in media.

The article you quoted is absolutely made by a delusional laker fan.

But lets not discredit the Michael Scotto report. He's one of the best in the Biz and is truly trusted. I fully believe the Centers report.

Ya I don't get why you'd be dismissive of a report outlining the Raptors are interested in filling one of their biggest weaknesses.

Now if the reports started linking us to Jokic/Embiid like that stupid Laker report then I'd agree with you on its foolishness lol.

Or because he's a late first round pick and historically theres an extremally low chance you hit on late picks every year? We've been spoiled into thinking late picks are guaranteed things now

True. But you at least hope you have a producible Bench Player, Flynn isint even playing.

Obviously you hope for that but calling the 29th pick a miss is just funny.

I think barring a crazy deal our FO will go value shopping.

Kemba + Noel for Dragic + Flynn

Could totally see Kemba revitalizing himself as a 6 man in our environment. Noel too. Would be cheap.

Both locked in next year at 9M each expiring.

Kemba/Noel just doesn't make sense for us though. Kemba isn't the player he once was and he's a horrible fit for what this team is trying to do. With the defense he's been playing this year he wouldn't see a single minute of playing time under Nurse.

And Noel doesn't move the needle there for us. He's no better than the bigs we have now. In fact he's worse.

Toronto is the number 7 seed in a very tough Eastern Conference this year. They do need some help at the 5, but there are probably better options out there for them than Dwight Howard and an aging DeAndre Jordan. So while it's not likely that they land GTJ, it's fun to dream.

The article is just poorly written. It looks like something an aspiring student in highschool threw together.

The trade proposed is the equivalent of me saying the Raptors should really try hard for Anthony Davis. The Raptors would be willing to give up Aichuwa and Boucher, but the Lakers can probably do better.

Like no **** Sherlock.

But hey, it's fun to dream!

Note: I didn't post the original article. I just wanted to point out that he wasn't nearly the most unrealistic Lakers fan I've seen online.

There’s literally nothing the Mavs have that we’d want, unless it’s Luka lol

That's almost as bad as the report about the Lakers again being interested in Trent and willing to give up key players. Like what key players? LOL

While I don’t disagree, I trust our team to rehabilitate players like we always have.

We need a guard who can provide instant offence and handle the ball. Kemba literally averaged 19/5/4 last year even shooting 36% from 3 on 8 attempts a game.

I think he’d thrive here wirh this support system and a defined role where he can be a bench leader. Takes care of the ball. Good rebounder. Most of all can provide scoring which is what we need most.

Noel sure but he’s a good rim protecter.

I just don’t see us making a splash, again unless we get someone who can be a part of our future.

Kemba + Burks then. Would be the best scorers our bench has had all year. Wouldn’t cost much. Expiring next year. We’re not in a rush to win asap.

We turn chicken **** into chicken salad. That’s what our franchise is built on.

Here’s how I imagine the call went

Mavs: what’ll it take for siakam?

Masai: *hangs up*

I like how they wrote a whole article about it and finished with this lmao

Despite Dallas’ interest in Siakam, it is unclear if the Raptors have plans to trade him away. The Mavs also have few trade pieces that they can use as bait.
