If he can up his FT percentage to above 80% (which he should be able to because of his shooting mechanics), then he can easily add another 2ppg to his scoring avg.

On the eve of his possible return to the lineup... Check out Koloko and Boucher raving about Pascal:

And definitely watch this, if you haven't already...

Crazy thing is...he still hasn't made that jump he's been talking about yet. Theres another level he is going to take. We are starting to see it, the game is slowing down for him. He makes winning plays. Knows when and who to involve. He's starting to put it altogether and will take another leap this season, and hopefully takes his team with him.

Siakam is a guy to me who just has "it". Ignore the **** bubble - this is a dude who has shown up to every playoff series ever even dating back to when Cleveland punked us (he still shot 70% from the field and somehow Casey only played him 20mpg)/
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

I mean, he really didn't show up in that Boston series in 2020.

he was pretty mediocre in that series and in that season in general. but also Boston's defense could make an any player look regular as well.

Based on his current 7.7 attempts a game. increasing his current FT% from 72.5% to 80% will increase his scoring by 0.6 points a game... which is certainly nice but nowhere near 2 a game. He would need to shoot 98.7% from the line to increase his scoring by 2.0 points a game.

I think not showing up and being ineffective are two different things completely. He obviously could get nothing going on offence but he really brought it on the defensive end.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Great to hear more about the trash talking with PJ that game. He'll step on your neck like Captain Morgan - loved that

Did you miss my second sentence?

The guy also completely struggled against subpar regular season opponents and the god-awful Brooklyn Nets - that to me is 100% an issue of rust moreso than anything else. But as Jinx pointed out, his defence was incredible that series.

That year is the biggest "what-if" in franchise history IMO. If COVID does not hit and Siakam does not take off 3 months from practicing that team is possibly a champion. Does anyone really believe we could not hang with the Heat or Lakers or pre-championship Bucks (without Holiday).

23/7/3.5 in his first season as a #1 guy and making 2nd team All-NBA is mediocre?

It really as not Boston. HE shot 40% against subpar Brooklyn and during the bubble "regular season" games. Dude was just rusty as hell but pre-bubble he was fantastic.

Even if you don't think Siakam's the answer, we've still got Scottie in the chamber. Win/win, it's a free-roll.

Saying someone has the "IT" factor when the only playoff series W they have under their belt is a poverty Nets team is wild lol.

Pascal has been playing like a superstar so far but it's a whole different ball game in the playoffs, love what I'm seeing from him but he's gotta produce in the playoffs. I think/hope that he will this year.

I don't quite get it. Do we not count playoff wins if a guy is not the undisputed #1 player on his team? Does Scottie Pippen not have any rings? Did Kobe not have "IT" during his first 3 championships? Or Magic during his first 2?

I don't think it's really fair to say that Pascal has "only" one playoff series W when he had 32-8-5 in his first Finals game to give the Raps the series lead, and then 26-10-3 in the clinching game to help them to the championship. Seems pretty clear that he has a few more series wins than just the first round series against the Nets in 2020.
