Watching a bunch of his highlights, he has a very Trae young vibe to his game. Time to officially move on from fvv. Let this man cook.

What numbers are you comparing? Because those are definitely not fvvs career college numbers.

Final season. I have no comment just giving the stats for others to comment.

I think what this shows is that he'll probably never be an efficient scorer in the league. His size will forever be a limiting factor for him, much like it is with fvv...

He definitely needs to work on other aspects of his game to carve a niche in the league. The good news is that he can break the defense down and pass the ball and that's something we're lacking. He also averaged more steals per game in college than fvv did, so that may translate...

His ability to hit shots from insanely deep range will cause some chaos and open up the floor from others. High pick and roll will be his bread and butter.

He'll be a good practice player, the bigger guys on our team will really be tested trying to keep him in front of them. Nowell is also going to be tested on defense as our long boys will look to single him out.

Change of pace point guard off the bench we need perhaps. Quis/Gradey/Scottie/Precious/Trent seems like a pretty solid youth movement. Banton still could turn out too.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Now that someone has publicly posted it, my minimum expectation for Nowell is a better version of Trae Young. I'm still waiting for Scottie to be better than a prime Kawhi.

I didn't say he was gonna be as good asyoung, I'm saying his play style was similar to Youngs. The types of passes he makes, the way he pendtrates into the defense.

Good pickup and a position of need for the Raptors, so he'll get opportunities here if he makes the team. His can make good thread the needle passes and looks to be a better passer than FVV. His lack of height will make him a liability on defense but he can be quicker to steal the ball. Only 2 inches shorter than Damon Stoudamire who won ROY here with us and went on to have a good career.

At the very least he'll be a solid, SOLID role player for us.
Flynn is done for me. Dude's 25 and has shown us absolutely nothing.

Next year's PG depth chart should be: (Scottie)/Dowtin/Banton/Nowell

Are you implying that Nowell x Flynn backcourt won't work?

Not unless they earn the privilege of becoming Fred's "projects".

Fred and his 40+ minutes per game, 20 shots+ will make sure the rooks are buried on the bench....

Hoping our new coach isn't so Thibodoughy.
