The only wing prospect with creation potential that could fall to us is Jaden McDaniels or Grant Riller. Otherwise it's a long shot.

I know for a fact that Masai scouted Theo Maledon

Didn't watch his game, but some advanced stats shows he is below average (eg. PER, ORtg, OBPM, etc.).
His wingspan is average for SF (6'11.5, average is 7'1). He seems to be young, we may draft him and have him develop in a few years.

He is the type of high gamble wing prospect you take a gamble on if you believe in your development program. He shows flashes of everything that make you think "man, if he goes to the right time then you have something"

To me, if the goal is to bet on half court creation that won't be a project and can contribute immediately... Masai should trade back to the second round and take Grant Riller and/or Isaiah Joe.

Both probably get buckets the minute they step on an NBA floor. I personally gravitate to guys with more feel. I think that always wins in the league.

If both Serge and Gasol are gonna be gone id like to see us trade up to get Okongwu as a small ball 5

Playing against the Celtics made it obvious that we need more half court creation and 3pt shooting threats.

Obviously it will be difficult to address all our needs through this draft especially with just late picks.

Still I would look for more offensively talented players seeing that our team is already elite defensively.

No way that happens and I don’t really see this as a draft to trade up in. You trade down if anything.

Isaiah Stewart is a guy I like in terms of big man. Him, Reed and Tillman are my picks in terms of guys in our range

I think the things you mentioned are part of the reason he's available at the end of the first round.

A 6'10" guy with his handles and ability to shoot has an upside of Ingram, Isaac or dare I mention KD! I think he's the perfect swing for the fences pick we need at the end of the first round, no?

This is exactly why I asked about him. We have the program that'll turn him into what he needs to be, or at least give him a better than average shot of getting there if he puts in the work.

Yeah probably not gonna happen but I see Okongwu as similar to Bam which would be awesome especially since he’s a Nigerian too. As much as this isn’t really a draft to trade up in, its also probably gonna take less than usual to move up too

Or trade up for Tyrell Terry. Probably is going to end up as the steal of the draft.

Jaden is a guy you’ll have to be patient with but he really has a chance to be a unique wing player.

Maledon to me is perfect. Point guard, good feel, projectable jumper, gets to the rim, has a floater, great passer with either hand and his size allows him to see over the defense. Apparently Masai scouted him too. His shooting ability will allow him to play off ball

Who I want:

1. Theo Maledon
2. Jahmi'us Ramsey
3. Tyrell Terry
4. Malachi Flynn
5. Robert Woodard II

I like trading down with someone like the Sixers for picks 34 and 36.

I think Ramsey had Smart potential and I'd love to see him play next to OG and Siakam on defense.

Okongwu is way too high when someone at our range may end up being a serviceable backup.
As for Stewart, he has a great wingspan, but his vertical is not enough for him to finish some plays. He is comparable to Robert Williams in his wingspan, just that Robert Williams has a 40 vert. Need to wait for the combine to understand some of these prospects.

Despite all the analysis here, my feeling is we will be trading our 29th pick; either moving up or moving down. There is also a possibility we may buy a pick (some teams need money during these times; we can take advantage).
