I could live with Kanter or Knight with the third pick. Whats this though about BC watching the Final 4??
I thought he was in europe scouting.. Thats music to my ears if he's watching players like Walker and Knight on tape. I wouldn't mind watching that Kentucky Uconn game again my self.

Who are we most likely to pick if we fall to 4th or 5th? I believe Knight has to be in the running but who's the next best guy? Thanks

If we fall to 4th or 5th I believe we'll take Walker or Knight. Maybe Biyombo.

I think Kanter is the right pick for us. Even if we landed #1. I would give Kanter just as much thought as DW and KI.

From the videos and they can definitely be deceiving he shows a strong two way game similar to Andrew Bogut/Chris Kaman.

The only thing is if we draft Kanter, we are way too load with mediocre bigs. Not even sure who I would want to trade. Do you keep or trade Amir? Bargs? Davis?

I mean, the guy got recruited by Kentucky one of the best schools, and he's now training with tim frickin grover or whatever that dude's name is who trains with D-Rose and D-Wade in Chicago.

Just look at John Calipari's recruiting classes at Kentucky and then remember that he had Kanter as one of his top recruits. Good enough for me!

It's funny you mention that, Coach Cal makes some points in this video that kind of highlight some of the back n forth we've had on Kanter. Listen from the 2:00 min mark.

I love the "idea" of Kanter as much as you but there's no way I'm taking him above Irving. With D Will it's arguable but D Will was a monster this year and if he projects as an NBA SF then I'm down with him as the pick at 2.

I really wish we had more data on Kanter. Anyway, Coach Cal says if you thought Kanter was going to be the best big last summer then you should feel the same way now. I agree with him but we have to let the brass figure this one out.

That seems to deny the usefulness of game experience in player development, but whatever. Not a big deal. Cal, like pretty much any college recruiter is going to say whatever he can to sell his players to the NBA.

Did I hear that correctly in the Cal video that he was basically going to run Kanter's workouts with teams, as opposed to teams running their own workouts with him?

And our other positions aren't mediocre?
PG - Bayless, Calderon
SG - DeRozan, Weems, Barbosa
SF - James Johnson, Kleiza

Other than Calderon and Barbosa, I suppose the other ones can improve, but how far can they go? Are they ready to be a starter next season?

Exactly.

If we got the first overall pick it's Kyrie no doubt about it. Second pick should be Derrick Williams as well.

The only player out of the three positions you listed that I view as a starter is DeRozan.

There's too many holes to fill on this team to be picking for fit, rather than best player available.

I would disagree with you. I think starting C is the biggest hole that can drastically change this team overnight.

I'm not denying that we need a starting center, as we absolutely do, but can you honestly tell me you would pick Kanter over Irving?

I can totally see Colangelo unnecessarily picking Kanter #1.

Anyone can quote me on this crazy prediction and I'll eat crow if I'm wrong. But although I'd pick Kyrie Irving and Derrick Williams over him, Enes Kanter will be the NBA rookie of the year barring injury. Yea I said it, and no I'm not crazy

You're smoking off a crack pipe. Most high lottery bigs end up being busts, unless they are clear cut number 1.

Who was the last 19 year old C to change a team overnight? Especially one that hasn't played in two years.

I'd be pretty disheartened if we took Kanter over Irving or Williams. Those guys are money in the bank with star ceilings.

I can see BC picking Kyrie and him not being the best player drafted. But could you really blame him then?
