really tough to move the guy I think. Lowry is barely a top 20 PG in the league. With limited suitors why trade him, lets resign him for $7.5m a year for 4 years. Thats pretty solid value I feel.

as long as Lowry continues to be efficient and a tough defender I don't see anything wrong with having him start at PG. Alvin Williams worked for awhile with scoring wings and solid bigs. We need scoring off the bench, which is hopefully going to come the way of the draft in the next few years.

lowry + novak for lin + one of their young pf (jones, donatas) or overseas stashed prospect.

Houston isnt enamored with lin. Raptors avoid a sticky sitiuation with lowry, either letting him walk for nothing or potentially overpaying for him.

But yeah in general its the golden age of PG in the nba, many teams already have a serviceable pg and if not they are tanking and not interested in Lowry.

I like the idea but Lowry had issues with McHale on how he handled his PT when both him and Dragic were on the roster. Maybe that has changed but I don't see the Rockets giving us anything extra with Lin.

That's a heck of a return for Toronto. I'd say in your scenario Detroit keeps Pope. Interesting idea though.

Trading PGs sucks, nobody needs one. And considering he's a UFA? I think Lowry has a lot less trade value than we realize. To the point where like, maybe he gets thrown into a Gay-Bucks deal but doesn't change the return much

no way Kings give up on McLemore and they aren't ready to give JT either.

I recall there were a few Dragic fans here. I wonder what they would want.

This Greene guy is just speculating...Dragic has been killing it in preseason and they will certainly try those 2 out together.

Very Simple trade that potentially helps both teams.

Rudy Gay to Charlotte for Jeffery Taylor and Ben Gordon.

I really like Jeff Taylor but I think the Raptors could get more in return. But I do like this trade idea though.

I think Rudy is worth more.

Rudy/Acy for MKG and Gordon.

I was up studying and got distracted with RealGM. I was trying to work a four team deal and this is what I came up with -

Toronto out: Rudy Gay, Kyle Lowry, Steve Novak, NY 2016 1st rd pick
Toronto in: Richard Jefferson, Ramon Sessions, Bismack Biyombo, PORT & DET 2014 1st rd picks

Charlotte out: Ben Gordon, Ramon Sessions, Bismack Biyombo, Gerald Henderson, DET & PORT 2014 1st rd picks
Charlotte in: Kyle Lowry, Rudy Gay, Steve Novak, Aaron Afflalo

Orlando out: Aaron Afflalo
Orlando in: Gerald Henderson, NY 2016 1st rd pick

Utah out: Richard Jefferson
Utah in: Ben Gordon

Why for Toronto? - Rebuild. Gay and Lowry are great but they won't take us to the promise land. Gay still has a PO he can pick up but Lowry will be a UFA next year and could bolt. Here, we send them both to a team looking to win now while we gear up with picks for this upcoming draft and look to build with youth. Novak gives them much needed shooting

Why for Charlotte? - They're looking to win now. A team with Gay, Lowry and Jefferson is sure to give them a good seed in the East and a good entertaining run in the playoffs that the franchise really needs. They give up a fair amount but get a great return. A quality, balanced starting lineup with a good bench as well.

Why for Magic? - Here's where things get sticky. Afflalo's FG% and 3ptFG% have fallen off and I think it;s due to him being the focal point of the offense when really he's not the kind of player that should be shouldering that kind of load. Magic are clearly rebuilding and in this deal they get a cheaper option so they'll save money on his deal while picking up a solid player who can score, defend, shoot a little and pick up a pick as well.

Why for Jazz? - This deal is more about fit for Toronto than anything else. We already have Ross and DeMar manning the SG and Gordon would crowd the rotation. We'd need a SF after giving up Gay so Jefferson is a short term option who expires at the end of the year just like Gordon so neither team will be making any longer contractual commitments.

*IMO Charlotte should throw in Gilchrist instead of Biyombo for this kind of package and if I were Toronto, I'd certainly push for him cause while I'm not a huge fan, hes a more productive player than Biyombo.

Thoughts?

If we traded Rudy to CHA I would want MKG at the minimum...and I don't care how much people hyped MKG coming out of college because to be brutally honest I'm really not that impressed by him as to me he looks very much what I thought he would be like and that's like a Gerald Wallace. But at least we could hope he has more upside than that and obviously help the tank.

As for your trade idea RapsFan07, I think CHA would be giving up too much especially considering both guys could leave. I think something like Ben Gordon + MKG for Gay (maybe a pick swap of NYK 2016 for one of their 2014s but really might be too much too) seems ok for either side but really I'm not sure what is a fair deal.

They're gaining a lot though. If they sent MKG instead of Biyombo, they could definitely keep the Portland pick, I'd be more than fine with that. I personally would look to extend Lowry to something similar to what he's making right now as soon as possible IF I knew that this trade depended on it. Of course Charlotte would need guarantees so that's no problem. Gay however has a PO worth about $19million and I'm not sure whether he's opt out for long term security or take the PO. Either way, he'd be taking a pay cut since no one will be paying Gay that much ever again and Charlotte would have the advantage as he would be their FA. If they're winning with Jefferson, Lowry and himself, I don't see why he wouldn't re-sign but that would be Charlotte's issue to worry about anyways. But they're practically getting a face lift here as a team. A lot of good quality players... More than they could ever hope to sign outright in FA. A deal like this makes them a surefire playoff team for a good stretch of time and the franchise needs that more than any other in the league.

Would the Bobcats do something like Gay and Lowry for MKG, Walker, Biyombo and Gordon? Is that too much towards our favor?

I would love to get Kendall Marshall here as our backup PG. I liked him in NC in college. He's a pass first PG that would thrive with our runners.. and he's still very young.

Get on it Masai!... he doesn't have much of a place in Washington with Wall and Maynor manning the point. It shouldn't be too hard to get him.

Would be a steal for us. We would atleast have to add Ross (maybe?).

If Masai got that to happen i'd be extremely happy.

I think one of Biyombo or Walker would need to stay back for CHA to consider it. Personally I rather get Kemba than Biyombo. Although the new line up wouldn't leave much space for Wigs if not I'd "settle" for Randle lol

Kemba
DeRozan
MKG
Randle
Valanciunas
