Looks like Jonas will be the most important player for Lithuania this year, no one can do **** in the post against JV while playing 1 on 1 :D

- pump fake, drive to the middle and fouled (was pushed out to the high post at the beginning of this play)

- never like it when Jonas leaves the paint to run out at a jumper shooter that he has no chance of reaching

- Jonas tried a quick turn around jumper and missed..he should emulate Duncan, not Hakeem. Had good positioning this time.

- finished a P/R play..they don't guard it very well

So what you're saying is that Jonas is a scrub.

I was a bit concerned about that pic of Jonas, but he looks strong out there to me. I guess the real test will be when he plays against bigger guys...

Lithunians who follow Jonas in NBA are wishing the same

Yes like me. I was watching almost every game of Raptors last year, despite it was 1-3am in Lithuania, but i was very mad because i saw so many good opportunities to pass ball to JV on PNR, but there was almost none, mostly lowry or demar, passes ball not to JV after PNR but to guy which is on 3pt line or just keeps ball on their hands.

Right now it looks like he can do whatever the hell he wants out there.

That was good awareness shown by JV on that catch and pump fake. Seems as if his BBIQ has grown this summer as he's making more correct moves and his movements are more fluid, instinctual.

nah..he looks good to me, a lot more mobile than last season..just needs to keep working on his game

On a related note, I've been complaining all season long that our guards don't feed our bigs enough. Some people were blaming Jonas for bad hands or whatever, but he's been doing fine. Amir and Jonas were underutilized and it hurt us in the PO's imo.

Half Time. Lithuania 55 : 42 Australia

Jonas scored 15 points. (4/5 FG 7/8 FT). Also got 6 rebounds (2 off/4 def). But I am more amazed by his defense :O

Playoff Jonas was pretty damn insane... he's just going to get better, as we see here...

I hope Ross develops some maturity/confidence this season. If so, The Raptors are going to actually be a legit ECF contender.

I dont take these games as seriously as JV is playing a team full of scrubs, it's kinda like Derozan playing a bucnh of scrubs in the drew league.
Masai's to do list

Baynes and Jawai couldn't do sht against JV. Those guys are scrubs, but physically strong scrubs. And JV seems to overpower them aswell.

I know what you meant which is why I stated it as I did. Exum is gonna be the real deal. He needs to work on his shot but that will come with time. He's super young but has everything you want from a top end prospect. Athleticism, bbiq, and he's a gym rat.

I woulod have loved Bogut in Aussies. Cauise it seems like Bayness doenst cut for Jonas anymore. He looks like shaq with great FT's percentage against them.

Well whatever those points are he didnt show anything noteworthy against Lithuania so far. In fact there were plenty of moments when Lithuiannian guards came out better than him.
