What would you say is a realistic trade for Miami?

This is coming from a Heat fan, so let me know if I'm being bias, because I probably am:

Something like Herro, Precious, Kelly, Iggy, Harkless + 2025 pick (if MIA can get OKC to remove protections) for Lowry and Norm. I'm lower on Herro than most Heat fans, but I feel comfortable saying he's a better prospect than Toronto will find elsewhere, either from late first rounders or from Philly by way of prospects like Maxey and Thybulle. Precious is a pretty decent prospect, too.

Again, maybe I'm being way bias, and if I am -- definitely let me know lol

Ah yes, I would gladly take that trade package :D. Are you a real Heat fan, or did you just create your account recently so you can get our hopes up with this trade proposal ...jk.

Lmao I was actually looking for places to see Raptors fans reactions to the Lowry rumors. Heat fans know what it's like to lose "their guy" when you don't really want to but feel like you need to.

I dont think the Raptors are in the mood of starting from scratch since we just gave FVV, OG and Pascal big contracts: retool, not rebuild.

u tried retooling after kawhi left..didnt wrk need to start over

18 mil. He does have to wave the ntc so that would dictate if were to happen or not. If a team is all in the only sentimental roster spot is Udonis Haslem LOL.

On the Hoop Collective pod Windhorst (for what it's worth) stated that Lowry's FA is happening right now and that if he is traded to Miami or Philly he is re-signing there but if he doesn't get traded it means that Lowry and the Raptors have an agreement on an new contract going forward.

The thing is that it's a competitive spot, not a sentimental one. Lowry-Dragic as your playoff PG rotation is deadly. Again, why the insistence on Dragic over Iggy? I don't see what's in it for the Raptors, who'd have no use for either player really

If salaries can work without Dragic I’d rather not take him. No point in adding him

Id imagine we'd waive him if we can't re-route him to a team in the POs.

He can still sign in Miami in the off-season.

I love Lowry and want him to stay ideally and help us get better next year but I really want to use this year as a way to get some assets and a potential franchise player through draft and I'm not sure if thst will happen once trade deadline passes.. we aren't this bad with the current team.

he absolutely gets flipped(dallas most likely they were interested in him earlier) , apparently if we do the 76ers trade with danny green there are already teams who are ready to take danny green in a 3 team trade.

No they didn't try retooling after he left, They ran it back with the same roster and if not for the bubble likely would have made it to the finals. They didn't retool this year either.

You don't start over when you have your young players, who have won a championship By the way, locked up long-term. You retool around them and that's what the raptors are going to do.

But thank you for chiming in

Heat allowed a trade exemption to expire, so probably not them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but since we extended Kyle last year, he can't be extended this year right? Unless by extension, they are referring to the cost of re-signing him this offseason.

it was a 7 mil exemption, how would that have helped in a kyle trade?
it actually mean its more likely them, because they could have traded for someone else making apx 7 mil instead chose not to.

I still think the Spurs might make an appearance in the Lowry trade talks even if it is to provide fake leverage.
Would people be interested in Dejounte, Aldridge for Lowry, Baynes.
I would much prefer watching Lowry of the Spurs with Demar and Poeltl.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Yes, which reduces Raps' leverage considerably. But I would have thought the Heat had other uses for their cap space this summer. Dipo, or I've even seen Kawhi mentioned. They'll also need a big man to replace Kelly O. (I don't think they'll settle for Baynes.)

If Heat get Lowry and his Bird rights, and choose to re-sign him at a 15-20 mill salary this summer, then there goes a big chunk of their cap space. I honestly don't see the Heat doing that. Sure they're in win-now mode with an aging Butler, but Lowry's OLD!

I hadn't realized that the Heat could trade for Lowry WITHOUT trading Kelly or Dragic. My guess is that they'd rather keep those guys, and if our season is in the tank, they don't have us much value to us.

So it could be:

Iggy
Harkless
Precious
Duncan
Nunn

For Lowry

Or add Norm on our side, and Herro/Kelly on their side (and remove Duncan)

And that's a pretty solid return. The only issue is that we pick up two RFAs, and it would also kind of mean we'd need to trade Norm as we'd have 3 free agent guards this summer. Obviously, we'd just be waiving or flipping Iggy for a second round pick or something.
