Our offense looked pretty junk and we beat the Pacers, Orlando, and Pacers again, so let's not rush to any conclusions that this is a playoff team just yet.

Still a win though, and someone inject more Scottie into my veins! Man what a pick!

The Knicks are trash. We beat them if we're healthy.

We won 3 straight vs Indy, Magic and Indy again; 2 of the worst teams in the conference. We're playoff tier with Pascal but I'd say same tier as the Knicks

Vampirate wrote:Honestly with Barnes emergence (assuming he keeps this up for the year), the Raptors have an interesting dilemma to make eventually.

Eventually one of of FVV, Siakam, GTJ and yes even OG might have to go in a trade at some point to land a young star.

FVV is the odd man out here as most likely the Raptors would want to trade but then there's OG, OG might be the piece needed to land another star as he'll be the most coveted piece around the league.

I'm not sure FVV or Siakam has the value per contract OG has.

Honestly...Pascal is the bigger name. But OG is definitely more tradable because of his contract.

The GS trade option remains the best option...

Fans are liking the new rules. Players will need to adjust.

new rules better for basketball. it was getting too out of hand. every fkin play was a foul and offensive players had too much of an advantage. this is a 2 way game. boldes well for us

I think he is saying that if they let the amount go they are so far, there will be a rash of injuries eventually. I don’t think it is that he thinks the foul baiting is better basketball. But I could be wrong…
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Exactly the old rules gave the refs too much control especially late game. It was also slowing the games down way too much and they would get rather boring watching guys shoot free throws all the time. I hope the new rules are here to stay.

I say we build up Pascal’s value and flip him at the trade deadline

Freddy can stay here forever and give him a front office job when he retires

Love that Nurse has embraced Scottie having a huge role since the beginning and that it sounds like he's pushing him to be great. Thorpe pointed out if there was any "flaw" it was that Scottie could be almost too much of a team guy and not enough "me".

If Barnes evolves into top 10-15 NBA player, you want to have a proven, quality core around him. Guys like Siakam, VV, OG have already proven they can be key players on a title team and they complement Barnes well.

Wanted to mention.....that game was ROUGH.

They were not calling fouls.

I'm sure that nurse et al are on top of it....but we have to adjust the way we're playing with this new whistle.

This bodes extremely well for us. I don't think i'm exaggerating when i say we could win an extra 5 to 7 games JUST because of this new whistle. We don't have any players for whom it matters much offensively. And we have a ton of defenders for whom it allows them to play their game only more extreme. With the way gary has been playing...he'd have fouled out in previous years.

We should probably make a thread about this. I've read in a couple places the data is pretty striking. Trae young and James Harden are NOT pleased lol.

Good. Start playing even more aggressive.

At the clip he is on, he's going to eclipse Kawhi for best Raptor of All Time. I just checked Pat Riley's age, he's 76, I'm hoping his ass is retired by the time Scottie is a UFA.

Barnes' finishing around the rim wasn't great in summer league - he rushed a lot of his finishes. He already seems much more composed down there, taking his time to gather, knowing he can get his shot off over most players.

He got 21 without hitting a midrange J tonight. Everything was practically in the paint.
