Thumb sprains are not good man

Quite painful. I've never 'sprained' my thumb, but I did break my thumb twice playing basketball when I was younger. It's one of those joints where the pain / swelling can linger for a long time

Ya I sprained both of mine took years until I didn't feel it anymore when playing

Oh man, I'm just getting over my thumb sprain. It's taken 4 weeks and it's 80-90% now, but seems to be getting better verrrry slowly. Hope this doesn't take years to fully heal. Scottie's got NBA trainers though so he should be OK much sooner than you/me/us. Thumb jams/sprains are much worse than the other fingers IMHO.

I think a thumb sprain for the average joe can take a while but for a professional athletes that have trainers and doctors around them all day rehabbing and offering the the latest technology like a shoelace so the healing process is much quicker

For whatever reason I have been following this. The rapper with the Bing Bong track said on radio the other day that he started using the catchphrase before that Knicks fan dropped it in October. He is now pushing his terrible music out so that he can prove it is his IP so he can make a dollar on any merchandise that references it.

To me, this is all typical Knicks. People all trying to cash in on any minor amount success the team has. They have a couple nice young pieces, but they rely on Derrick Rose to stabilize them and Randle flopped hard in the playoffs. They did have some interesting signings (Kemba/Fournier) and Mitchell Robinson is back, but the good times will end. It is just that Brooklyn didn't expect to lose Kyrie and Philly Simmons, so this gives the Knicks a shot to be a high seed. God help us when the next group of marketing entrepreneurs shows up.

Some of it is bad luck, but it is not that surprising to me. Scottie throws his body on the line every time he is out there and he is already playing 35 mins and closing games. He reminds me of a 6'9" Kyle Lowry that way.

I don't care, but why do some feel the need to trash our team and say "blowout L" because Scottie is out? I also don't feel like reading all of these "not watching" posts because one player (albeit the most exciting one on the team) is doubtful to play when I know most of them will actually end up watching the game because they ARE fans or, even worse, not watch the game then make assumptions from the box score if we lose.

I didn't say Scottie's impact has been underwhelming. He has been either our best or 2nd best player via the eye test. What I did say was that his impact stats tell a different story and we have actually been better with Scottie on the bench. They aren't "my" numbers I'm pulling out of my ass. They're readily available to anyone on virtually every NBA stat-tracking website. I'm not making things up.

If you care if rqnw are trashing our team then you probably don't have a realistic perception of how good the team actually is... especially with scottie out... without his offense we have no one else that can get an efficient 20 points... hopefully Trent and co get hot.

In fairness to the fans, the ones on RealGM seem to be aware that this team has a limited ceiling as currently constructed. No doubt some these guys at the games legitimately think that they are on their way to a championship.

It takes a while man, speaking from experience. It's just so easy to re-aggravate it. Your thumb also has a pulse, which you can really feel if you ever injure it, otherwise most people don't even realize.

I'm sure he'll be getting daily treatment on it though

All of these games are largely meaningless for this team anyway, they're not winning anything of substance. Now I'm sure he'd play if it was a playoff game, but just hold out Barnes until he's 100% healthy. We don't want it or need it to become something he has to deal with all year.

I was worried that it's serious but he was already shooting the basketball there in warmups. You aren't doing that if it's a severe sprain, it's way too painful. Raptors will be cautious so I think he will miss maybe 3-4 games. Maybe back for the Celtics game.
