Such a loveable kid. I can’t not smile when I see that smile lmao

lol, ive never seen more people associated with sport talk about hugging so much.

in an age of the bratty/entitled young athlete, its legit impossible not to love this kid.

It's like Embiid had 360 vision. Dude there was no way Embiid would have been able to stop from stepping on Scotties foot. Scottie came from behind Embiid to dig at the ball.

Scottie is gonna come back and adjust by spending less time on his feet (that is, he's gonna spend literally half the time dunking on these fat bozos (sorry not fat-shaming. I myself am obese)).

I've honestly never come across a more likeable athlete in my lifetime. Maybe Ray Allen, but that's it.

Scottie is such a sweetheart off the court but an absolute killer on the court. Dude's one of a kind.

Yeah this take that Embiid did it on purpose or is dirty is weird. This is just one of those unfortunate basketball plays that happen. It's part of the game, regardless of how chitty it is.

He'll be back for game 6 and he'll make a big impact game 7 when we make JoJo have a mental breakdown and move onto Miami.

Like embiid didnt have a 50% chance of rolling his own ankles when he steps on someones foot during a drive with all his weight on that one foot.

Scottie will come back for game 5 with Philly up 3-1, and drop 40 on them. Doc Rivers will blow another 3-1 playoff lead.

Depending what grade it could really be anything from a 1 week injury up to 3 months.

But in the NBA mild ankle sprains are much more likely and common than the worst case, 3 month high ankle sprain recovery period.

So reading between the lines it seems much more likely it is more of a mild sprain but it sucks that we will likely never really know.

I still seriously doubt he will return this series at any point

much as I want to be mad at Embiid for the Scottie injury it's just not realistic to blame him. and even though i also want to be pissed off at him for bullying us, i actually think that when it comes to winning in the playoffs you should bully the other team, so I can't even blame him for that. only thing i really dislike him for is his entitled flopping and how he gets babied by the league and acts all innocent. would dearly love to see him crying in frustration again. but we don't have any bullies on our team. we definitely need a true ass-kicking enforcer. doesn't need to be 7 feet just needs to be able to punk and intimidate the other team. every champion has someone like that. either scary tough or scary crazy, or both. next year...

Raps clinching it in 7 with the triumphant return of the prodigal son would be the absolute highlight story. If we end up getting sonned by our father Lowry after, I don't even mind.

He's 20 yrs old not 30, even a grade 1 sprain heals faster the younger you are. I had a grade one sprain at 18 yrs old felt like someone shot my foot, but 5 days later was jogging on it, depends on the individual pain tolerance and healing powers, Scottie is young he'll bounce back but might not comeback for this series.

I bet your grade 1 ankle sprain wasn't caused by a 280 pound giant. That's the big difference
But doesn't labelling it a grade 1 sprain ankle mean it's the same as (or very similar to) any other grade 1 ankle sprain regardless of the cause? If it were more severe wouldn't it have been medically upgraded?

Even if it's grade 2, it wouldn't impact his summer development. The season starts in October, ffs.

Ask Aaron Gordon who that player used to be on the Raps.

At least nothing was torn. Grabbing the back of his ankle I had one big fear, glad it wasn't that.

Nah. Embiid was a bull in a china shop and allowed to get away with it. He should have drawn 2 flagrants and been turfed and most games would have. He's going to have to dial it back a bit anyway, and I'm sure the coaches told him he got lucky.

What is with the stars of this league taking out their frustrations on Barnes?

I'm just glad that it seems like he'll recover and be able to make use of the offseason to continue his development.
