Is Battle more talented or a better player than Dick Jakobe Abgaji Martin etc? No

Is he elite in one of the biggest skill in the game today? Yes

The thing about today’s nba is all you really need to have a role is to be an elite shooter and not a liability defensively. Battle is exactly that. Players like that have more of a chance at carving out a role than an aversge inefficient player regardless of talent. It’s all about productivity

Also to keep in mind knowing the refs really do not favour the raptors

It is incredibly easy to shut down a good defence by calling ticky tack fouls (eg playoffs) to get your team in foul trouble

A good offence? Refs cant stop that
