The Jays are turning into the Leafs.

Is Yesavage still going to be the best Blue Jays pitcher of all time? Asking for a friend

Not very likely.
New goal is to be the second best.....

It's disappointing but after 2019 it's kinda whatever. They already played above their heads getting this far.
But truthfully, I already got the unlikely championship of my lifetime, especially if you were a Raps fan pre-2014 and you know where we were then as a franchise.

Yeah they already had a great year so hard to be too upset at the team, especially missing Bichette for this series. I'd like to see them at least make this series a bit more competitive.

It ain't over, til it's over! Down 0-2 in 2019, the Raptors came back to win FOURRRR STRAIGHTTTT GAMESSSS! Against the Milwaukee DEERBUCKS.
The rizz of Toronto! Most dangerous when down 0-2 in play-off series in major league sports!

Baseball is random enough that they could still turn it around. Bo would have helped for sure though.

Swept them at their home this season while they had won 18 of their previous 24 games.
We can do it again.

is home field advantage as strong as basketball? I see others sports, it's not as a factor than basketball? Either way, has any team came back down 0-2 and need to winning 3 out 4 on the road?

I think i read teams down 0-2 in a championship series came back to win the series 31% of the time.

We need a raptors vs bucks style finish to this series

The Mariners have a great team. Killer pitching, 2 players better than Vlad and some solid players in the rest of their lineup like Naylor, Polanco, Arozarena, etc., this despite how getting Suarez midseason and his 49 HRs this year has not looked like a scary talent at all.

Context matters though. Raptors lost the first 2 @Bucks while the Jays lost the first 2 @home & will be @Seattle for the next 3 games due to 2-3-2 playoff format. We'll need to take at least 2 of 3 on the road and then sweep remaining games at home. Not impossible, but there's more context...
Pitching is key in baseball and Seattle beat us using their 4th and 5th best starter. Their top 2 pitchers from the ALDS, Kirby and Castillo are starting games 3-4, and then Bryan Woo - their pitching ace - will likely be back pitching Game 5, if they need.
Still not impossible, but it's an extremely steep hill because it's hard to set up Seattle to be in a better position than where they're at now to beat us.

Bats need to come alive
Winning 2 out of 3 isn't impossible - you could look at it as this is a whole new series starting tonight with 3 games on the road
But Jays need a game plan in order to pull this off and get their heads outta their asses
good luck boys

Kirby, Castillo, Woo are all ace level SP and better than any pitcher we have. And their bullpen is also elite, unlike our collection of dumpster findings.

Wow, tough crowd. All I said was we need some similarities with what happened with the Raptors. Good luck to the Jays! This is more than I could say for the last decade
