In a semi-related sidenote, is anyone watching the RapsTV crew butcher the online stream of this press conference? They have cut to Jack warming up for the camera about three times now, looking like Ron Burgundy. Funny ****.

BC will evaluate Triano, by midseason he could name Triano permanent head coach or hire a new coach.

Oh but it will, even if it takes time. I want to see our defense strategy shift where in we do not help so much. I know we have weak defenders but double teaming everyone including scrubs was something that we did a lot and thats what made us such a bad defensive team.

And it doesn't fix everything since we need a better back up point guard ( I like Ukic and he's a part of the future) Solomon sucks and we need better wing players who can defend, slash, score and handle the ball. JT can't fix those holes that are in the team, but he is a better tactician than Smitch.

Don't get your hopes up on triano. he will not be the permanent coach.

Hey you take it with a grain of salt because BC is the only one who knows. But he makes a good point that it's difficult to see him finding a suitable coach that could quickly mesh with the players, assuming the playoffs are still the goal. So why even look for another coach? Sure if JT sucks huge, then of course you look. But I think BC gives him the season to prove himself...

Book it.

Even though I was pretty fully on the "Fire Sam Mitchell!" bandwagon, I still had a moment of "aww, Sam" when it became official.

carsoni, haha, yeah, I'm enjoying (or I was until I lost the feed) watching Jack. "Stay Classy, Toronto."

Dan Shulman just said that there are teams with less talent and more injuries that are playing better than the Raptors.

This is great news. The team can finally start to perform the way BC expected them to when he said this team was the most talented one here yet.

I hope he does get a chance. There must be a reason Triano has a ton of respect.
