Yup and it's between him & Drummond to me. But I think adding PJ3 changes the complexity of our offense completely.

I think I have to agree that some nights Jones will have trouble guarding the SF, especially guarding the quicker SF, but I don't see him having trouble guarding big strong SF. Even on offense, he can take his size adv on the low block, scoring the hook, he's also capable of fighting for rebound against smaller SF..., also he should practice really hard on the mid-range and on his fadaway shot cos I don't think anyone can block a 6''11 dude going fadaway on you.

Even if he attracts two defenders on the block, he can kick it out to Demar for open mid-range or to Andrea for an open 3. Also, he's not a flashy ball handler but he's a capable ball handler, I've mentioned so many times that he and Hedo have same type of dribbles, nice steady not going out of control type of ball handling skills. PJ3 can definitely take adv on the pick and roll, especially with his rare quickness he can definitely take it to the hole. PJ3 should excel on p&r like Hedo. Both have same height and both can dribble.

Don't be naive people, Harrison Barnes is a sure-shot when it comes to our wing needs. He's a lock for me, i'd also do whatever it takes to acquire another pick for Austin Rivers.

I am also huge of Austin Rivers and Barnes. Barnes is the smoothest SF, he can do everything on the floor but I am just not sure if he has a killer instinct of the elite athleticism to become a superstar. I know he is going to be an All Star though but raptors need a killer instinct. I feel like Austin rivers has a kiler instict, if he could make a move to PG.. he`s a beast.

great analyisis, i think he needs to be our guy. Especially with this new focus on rebounding, defense, and even scoring. He provides length and skill at the wing with scoring and defense and he rebounds....i think selecting him would do more for the team going forward than it would drafting a Drummond tbh. It just diversifies the team in a way we've never had before.

Harrison Barnes is the most NBA ready, all-around player in the draft. Won't have to worry about his frame coming in or his college experience. & Don't worry about his killer instinct, him deciding to stay back at UNC to get better when he was easily a top 3 lock in last years draft shows a lot. Reminds me of a bigger, defense orientated Brandon Roy.

Austin Rivers is nice, but scoring guards are dime a dozen, especially a SG trapped in a PG's body. With a second pick, I'd look at Tony Wroten Jr or Kendall Marshall to help the PG position.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Barnes will amount to no more than what Jason Richardson is today. A jumpshooting swingman

At this moment, I am happy with either Austin rivers, Barnes or PJ3. PJ3 is the worst amongst the three at the moment but he has that superstar athleticism and the length which you can`t teach but he is more of a risk, so if he can become more explosive as a scorer and shooter he has a chance to be great. Barnes is a clear cut All-Star but teams might gamble on him just to get a potential superstar.

I don't see Brandon Roy or Jason Richardson in Harrison Barnes at all. At the moment I see a poor mans Danny Granger.

Barnes is Marvin Williams with a 3 ball. I'll be pissed if we take him or Rivers with our pick. Just eww...

Last time I checked, the best PG in the league was a scoring PG who was also the MVP. Raptors don`t have a scoring threat. If Austin can move to PG and score 20 ppg unselfishly and drop about 6 dimes that would be a Raptors dream come true. He is a poor man`s Derrick Rose. He has the best handles in the draft, elite athleticism, size at PG, top 5 shooter and he has a killer instinct which the raptors lack.

Kendall Marshall is the 2nd coming of Jose which is solid but nothing more, what we need right now is a dynamic guard which we haven't had since Boogie was droppin 20 on fools

I really think PJ3 is a 4, a stretch 4, but a 4. I mean, it's not even like he's a tweener, he's just a 4 with super skills. He's like a Bosh that relies on athleticism rather than moves.

For me I expect the first 3 picks to be AD1, AD2, and PJ3. After that we have a bunch of wings to look at, most notably Jeremy Lamb, Harrison Barnes, and MKG. I really think we'll be ending up with 1 of those 3...

(And add Sullinger to those 6, and I bet those are the top 7 picks of the draft)

I'll take PJ3 over barnes anyday. Perry's just now starting to put it together.

I think you're right that those could be the top 7 players drafted. The order is going to change depending on who's drafting and what their needs are.
