interesting take....

$15M ??? Dude what are you on ? That’s a lot of $$ for an aging player! Plus no team has that much room!
I’d say $9M or $10M at most

I think we are always linked to the Morris twins because they are close friends with Lowry.

I'm all for Baynes.

Damn, Biz is gone now too. We keep whiffing on centers, should have gone after TT before Boston grabbed him
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Lol Boucher is gonna get man handled
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Now hear me out...
Trade for JV, sign Biz, and bring Bebe back from wherever he went to for that special pants-down action.
Ah, I'm late, Biz signing ruined the flashback tour :(

Marc Gasol was so bad offensively last season I swore I never wanted to see him in a Raptors uniform again.

The fact that I’m now hoping he returns speaks to how bad our frontcourt situation currently is.

Trade route is coming that is for sure. The open market is cheaper though. For the first time ever.

Worst case scenario is that we’re so short on Centers that we need to trade Powell to get one.

I'm surprised people are freaking out. I really don't want to sacrifice 2021 cap space and would probably not have offered Ibaka 9M next year unless we were really confident he could be offloaded next summer with 1 year 9M left on his deal which he presumably could have been, but that might not help with re-recruiting Kawhi or even keeping OG .

But right now for 2021 We can go into the summer with about 38M in cap space and a roster like this:

____/Hernandez
Siakam/2021 1st rounder
Anunoby/Davis
_____/Thomas/Harris
VanVleet/Flynn

and then if we get a max guy maybe he signs for 30M instead of 33 and we can keep Lowry at 9M or sign another mid level sort of guy, or maybe we get a guy for 25M like Gobert and have 14M to sign Lowry or a decent starting guard/wing for about 5M over the MLE like Powell, or maybe he picks up his option even, though I doubt it.

So yeah, hopefully Gasol stays for one year 15M (or we trade McCaw or Johnson and a 2nd rounder to free up 2-3M more to entice Gasol) which would also give us a nice expiring contract if Giannis resigns and we want to just go get Oladipo or a healthy Blake or someone.

I'm fine with Boucher getting 20-25 minutes a game at the 5, I'm not sure he isn't already better than Serge honestly, but obviously we need a big body to guard centers in the post so if not Gasol, we probably need one of Baynes, Whiteside or Len to sign a 1 year deal and give us 20 a night, then maybe smallball for 5 or so.

At the 4, I'm pleasantly surprised that Hollis-Jefferson is unsigned. I'd love him to come back for one more year. We have enough shooting to be useful for him and I was surprised Nurse didn't go to him more in the playoffs.

Really concerning because the Raps should be the best situation for a young C to go to.

Is the front office not being aggressive enough going after them?

Give Baynes the MLE at this point. A 2 year deal with a team option.

I would give Poeltl a one yr MLE offer. Would that be enough for Spurs not to match?

Is he a guy that would be considered close to that salary? I’m thinking no but it would allow us to steal him back.

Not really interested in any of the stop gap bigs out there. Would rather ride with youth and see how it goes.
