I'm sorry but this is just plain bloody dumb. I wouldn't even swap Siakam with Crumb Bum Simmons.

My offer would be S&T KLowry+ filler for that Bum. Take it or GTFO. I don't need max player at $40,000,000/year on my team who can't score.

Flynn and the rights to Nando de Colo. philly can either take that or kick rocks

Imagine being an NBA player for over 5 years and not being able to hit a free throw and getting scared to dunk when Trae Young is coming at you

I think the Raps will (and should) balk at dealing the #4.

The point is, we are NOT trading Lowry, it is Lowry Signing a team. Lowry does not need us, but rather than us losing him for nothing, we need him.

Lowry needs us if he wants to get paid by a team like Philly. Not a lot, if any, high end playoff teams have cap space to give him the contract he'll be seeking. Unless he's prepared to take the MLE, he needs us to make a sign and trade work...

Knicks, Heats, they have cap space. He need us for S&T, but he does not need us to Sign for another team.

That is your assumption that Lowry needs us (which imo not), and the reality is that we need Lowry than he needs us.

Look at this guy's delusional logic.

Stanford wrote:"Number 4 pick" sounds sexy in theory but this is a three player draft and I know for a fact that MLSE isn't willing to wait for a B- prospect to develop. They're eager to get off of Siakam's deal and make up for not trading Lowry at the deadline. You have to consider all of factors involved here. It's a recipe for a Lowry-Siakam-4-for-Ben deal, and considering the offers we're getting from the T-Wolves board, we may just have to take it.

"eager to get off of Siakam" lol really?

"make up for not trading Lowry" these clowns would have went to the finals if they had traded for Lowry.

This man wants Suggs and Siakam for no jumper Simmons. :rofl2:

I have a hard time seeing the raps getting Simmons. Too many dumb teams that will offer too much.

That said, I think we probably could help facilitate a trade... A Lowry sign and trade to Philly as part of a bigger package. For example say Indiana wants to up their previous offer.

Lowry + Brogdon/Levert + filler to Philly plus some 2nd round picks
Simmons + salary filler to Indiana
Turner + salary filler (from philly or indiana depending on what needed to Toronto)

Philly gets two win now all-star level players to fill their backcourt
Indiana gets Ben Simmons to pair with Sabonis and whoever left between Brogdon and Lavert
Toronto gets maximum value from Lowry in a young high quality big man.

If necessary Raps add Boucher to the deal if Lowry isn't enough.

masai doesnt even do 4 for simmons, they acting like its a throw in to siakam, the **** am i reading

We wouldn't even do a Pascal for Simmons straight swap let alone include assets.

Indeed.

People, we are talking about a player who preformed at an elite level as a number 2 on a championship team. If he teams with Kyle and Embid, he will be that player again and we will be stuck with a number 1 who can't shoot. Simmons is a reclamation project. Kyle plus Trent Jr. with Sixers sending Simmons and a pick is as high as I would go. Otherwise we are fine with what we have.

Why would we be eager to trade Siakam because of his contract only to take Simmons for his equally huge contract? At least Siakam has shown he can score 30 plus points in the ecfs and NBA finals unlike single digit scoring Simmons.

We think this because Lowry needs us if he wants his money to go to the 76ers. By all means he is free to sign there outright, but they don't have the cap space to give him what he's asking.

I'd rather eat Siakam contract for the next 3 years than whatever awful trade package is being proposed for Simmons.

This is a non-starter. Siakam might be inconsistent as a shooter but at least he's not afraid to make a jumpshot in the regular season and playoffs.

And that is NOT true.

The only reason Lowry needs us is to get his money plus the team he wants (eg. 76ers). Lowry does NOT have to sign with 76ers, and he does NOT have to sign for the money he asked for. Why he can't sign with the Knicks or Heats? Are you Lowry and must go to the 76ers then not making a pay cut? Why must?

Lowry does not need us, but we need Lowry to get something back.

We are a good trade partner for Simmons. FVV would be great for Sixers and possible all-star season next year. Simmons gives us a little more upside.

FVV, Boucher, Watson, our 2 2nds for Simmons. I think that's enough salary for us to not have to renounce free agents.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Of course, they don't need a package, they sign Lowry out right.
The Philly deal is fan driven, there is no rumor saying Lowry wants to go anywhere, all Lowry said he money talks, which clearly Knicks and Heat are highly likely destinations.

I like the idea of being involved with a 3 way trade that gets us another lottery pick and have Simmons go somewhere else.
Whoever came up with:
Siakam to Philly
Simmons to Cleveland
#3 and filler (probably KLove) to Toronto

...this is the deal!!

OG + 4th pick are untouchable imo as it pertains to a trade for Simmons who I think is massively overrated.
