How about we let these players develop for even 1 full year and get an offseason to improve before we start declaring who should be drafted where.

I remember couple drafts ago Chris Duarte was Roy leader for the first half of the season. Where is he now?

Especially with Filipowski is averaging 6, 5 and 2 on 48, 30, 60... nothing amazing.

Here we go lol let me guess you were screaming for them to draft wells over mogbo right?

Hindsight drafting is such a sad and flawed exercise. Should every GM have been fired for 'missing' on Jokic? Kawhi?

You can make any team look foolish by revisiting what "would" have been optimal given the benefit of hindsight.

From the highlights posted the kid's speed, athleticism, and second jump looks elite. But I question his offense and more importantly "feel" for the game.

His feel for the game is actually coming along, and is probably as good or better than one could reasonably expect given his limited time playing organized basketball at this point in his career.

His offence is still quite limited, and looks like it'll be the last thing to come along. Right now it's basically just setting screens and rim running, and getting offensive rebound putbacks. He's shown glimpses of a little hook shot and a three pointer, but not enough to really consider them part of his repertoire just yet.

But overall I've been getting more and more comfortable with the idea that he might be able to work himself into a rotation role in a couple of years. He's definitely not NBA ready yet, but the timeline I'm eyeing right now (with the understanding that development happens at different paces) is for him to spend most of next year in the G-League as well, but that he might be ready to be a bench big with the Raptors by 2026-27.

Yeah. I think where we are at is that there are "encouraging signs" that he may make it as a prospect. That's all you can really ask for at this point. After next season, I think.we will.know for sure if he is a long term rotation guy or not.

Being a big & being elite athletically allows him to have some advantages that our other prospects don't have. All he has to do is prove that he will be an above average defender & he will have an NBA career..

I am viewing Chomche almost as a pick in the 2026 draft. Hopefully he keeps getting better and in 2026/27 he will be ready for NBA action...even as a 3rd stringer.

And to put it into perspective, that 26/27 season he will be Gradeys age this season...still lots of growing to do. For Gradey it's his body, consistency and defense. For Chomche it's learning NBA basketball and overall offense.

So that season we have our 2 1sts and hopefully Chomche being added to the team.

I've been to two 905 games. One in late November and just this one this past weekend.

Chomche's court awareness has drastically improved.

Yeah. He doesn't look like the same player. Doesn't look as lost out there. He took a big jump in the last 4-6 weeks. Having an older mentor in Kaminsky may have helped his confidence.

My exact experience. I actually went to the home opener (strong recommendation for hoop heads) and Chomche has definitely learned a lot. I'm hoping he'll be rotation ready in a couple of years.

He's been like that his whole year, like he's afraid to fall. You signed for 4yrs my guy, relax and get it together. Being hard on yourself doesn't make anything better.

I saw the same thing when I was at one of the games. He sat on the bench, not watching the game at all while everyone else was cheering & totally into it. He was just staring off into space. When he came into the game, he didn't look ready to play at all.

Not sure what is up with that.

Maybe that's why mogbo didn't play the game vs magic

Yeah coach said he wanted to see Mogbo's inner monster come out and just let his natural skill show.

Mogbo also made the comment when interviewed about him showing expressions more.

Let's stack the 905 with anyone who is eligible to play down there and go for the Chip! Helps our main club tank too.

Taking my eldest next Wednesday. Not court side but front row in the middle.

Looking forward to it. Can’t believe I’ve never been. Maybe it’s because I’m in Durham. I’d probably do season tickets if it was in my backyard though
