Now that the Mike James and TJ eras have ended, does he even write anything at all? His one play was for Mike or TJ to dribble for 20 secs, then run down the lane and hoist up a fade-away prayer through 4 defenders. Is the Kapono pump and drive a designed play?

lmao! I've always said that Smitch writes on his clipboard with crayons, drawing horsies and pretty rainbows. Glad others have had similar thoughts

Re: MS Paint Sam a Playbook
With Sam distracted by the mascot's antics, Jay Triano diagrams the play:

"Okay, we're going to run a pick-and-roll. Hump, you come up to set the screen on Nelson; Bosh is going to set up on the right block on this one. The Magic have been playing the ball aggressively, so I'd expect Lewis to step up as Jose goes left. Hump, I want you to flash to the basket hard; quick contact on the screen and go. Nelson will go for the double on Jose, but there should be a passing lane before the double closes. Got it so far?"

"Now Hump, once you get deep into the lane I want you come to a hard stop. Yeah, the 'X' in the middle is still you...I know it's hard to follow without the jersey numbers, but it's really embarrassing when you have to peek at the back of your jersey to figure out which one you are. Jose will fire the pass down low, and you'll have options. Both Dwight and Hedo will be closing hard, so be on your toes. If the help is late, it's an easy basket or a pump fake and trip to the line. If Hedo is the first man in, you have Kapono in the corner for a wide-open three. If Dwight gets there quickly, Chris will be leaking to 10 feet for an easy, unobstructed jumper. And if Pietrus moves down from the wing to bother Chris' shot, you can pivot back and hit AP, who'll be moving along the arc to improve the passing angle. Hump? HUMP!?"
...

"Goddamnit."
