Sorry I just don't agree.

Good team's have an identity.

I think like that we'd just have a mixed message. You'd have a group like DD, Bayless, Amir, Davis and Barnes or Jones on one end and then Calderon, Bargs and Gasol on the other....with the conflict our team had in years past I think its time to let the later go.

With a group like Bayless/DD/Barnes/Davis/Jordan....that sounds like a much grittier and hungier team. Forget the finesse. I'm sure Barnes etc will bring some of that but that starts a much tougher culture for the Raps and that's what will win games. Guys like Bargnani and Gasol are band aids to the problem and the problem is the culture.

As "spirited" Jose, Bargnani and Gasol are...I want grit with some talent.

Marc Gasol is maybe the second grittiest centre in the league behind Perkins. I think you're getting Euro confused with finesse, or something. The fact that you think Bayless, Barnes and Jordan are "gritty" or tough or whatever is hilarious.

If he had a poor tournament, he might not even declare for the draft.

Or draft Kemba at our pick, since we have no idea what other teams think of him and he could get snatched up if we trade down.

I want us to draft Derrick Williams he's a stud can score, shoot the 3, rebound, block, and play D.

Andrea/Kanter is damn big and hella talented but can it work defensively because Davis/Kanter is small as ****.

I guess he's a decent consolation prize. I like him more than Sullinger if only because of the mystique de Kanter. he'll produce and he'd probably be awesome to have at PF but he's a questionable building block, especially for us.

i'm sure PJ3 will be a workout warrior but right now i'm grateful that he's not in the tourney. Sacto will be hard pressed to pass on him but we'll have a shot.

If that scout comparison of Kanter as a bigger Al Horford is true, I'm not worried about him being undersized at the 5 at all. The guy is a real 5 (giving us the rebounding, interior scoring, and positional defense we are sorely missing now), is very strong, and weighs 260lbs. And if the measurements from the Hoop Summit last year are correct, he's at least 6'10" as well. Hopefully we'll get updated measurements (and a better look at him in game action) on April 9th.

I didn't realize everyone was so down on Williams. He looks like he'll be a solid pro, which in this draft could be the most you can ask for. I know we need a superstar, but that just may not be an option.

Looks to me like the top 7 are pretty even. Personally, I'd be interested in getting a late lotto pick and taking a flyer on Walker, Freddette or Veseley, as long as the price isn't too steep.

Kentucky's website has Kanter listed at 6' 11", 262. This appears to accurate if you look at the team picture, where Kanter is shown to be noticeably taller than both Vargas and Harrellson. Personally, I would put Kanter 4th (after Irving, Barnes and Perry Jones) on the Raptors draft board.

If kanter is 6"11 hes got the body to play center, I can kind of see him having the value of a brook lopez in a couple of years.

Watched him play against Memphis yesterday, but was shocked during the interview by how short he is. The interviewer was almost as tall and the coach wasn't all that far behind. He's not 6'8" by any stretch of imagination. He's probably about 6'6". That's way too short for a projected PF in the NBA.

The thing is that any team that drafts him in the top 5 would want Derrick Williams to play the 3. That's where he has the most upside.

Brandon Knight is looking good, if we don't get Irving we should get another pick and try to get him. Too bad we didn't to the Clips deal with the Cavs to get their pick. Could've given Jose.

Derrick Williams 6'6", that's like DeMar Derozan with his shoes on. He's easily taller than that.

If Dwill were 6'6, his defense on 7 footers would be out of this world hahaha.
On D, he matches every game with the other teams biggest player.
On O, he matches up with the other teams two biggest players.

Memphis threw a box and 1 and a triangle and 2 at Williams. Thats almost unheard of for a bigman.
It's hard to compare Derrick to other top prospects like Barnes; Arizona is a very flawed team that can only succeed because of how unbelievable Derrick is. Put him on a team like UNC/DUKE, and his stats are going to be even more insane.

Does Brandon Knight remind anybody of Eric Gordon, particularly with the way he shoots the ball?

would you guys trade the pick. Me and a warrior fan were talking on the TNT board and he really liked the idea of.

Bayless + #5 + Barbosa

for

Biedrins + Steph Curry

i love Curry so my opinion may be slightly biased towards him but i think hes ideal in our team. Would anyone do that or no?

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

If we end up with the 4th or 5th pick, would anyone be mad if we took Kimba Walker?

if we decide we want him, I'd much rather acquire another pick to get him, or trade down a few spots.

If this was the exact deal I'd do it, there's no doubt in my mind.

Return to Toronto Raptors
